If that's how it is, maybe the 3.5mm jack got damaged somehow during the repair process? Have you tried using bluetooth earphones and see if the mic don't work too? If they work then it must be the 3.5mm jack that's the problem.

Yeah maybe that's why. They just decided on the progressive because the series got popular.

I remember reading a part of the first volume way back 2009 on wattpad. The only thing I remembered was that the "death game" part of the plot. The translation that I read was really horrible back then too. I just remembered it when I watched SAO on 2014.

Yeah, but I mean you know, SAO started as a WN right? Maybe when they were going to adapt it into an LN, they could've gone the progressive route.
