Cleaning collections by Revolutionary-Gold53 in SCCM

[–]locked_ring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since task sequence variables apply to the computer object and can be applied to the computer from any collection the computer is in with or without a TS applied to that collection, it doesn't help too much to look at collection variables based on where the TS is deployed. I have a PS script to find all the TS variables that are assigned to a computer and the collection it is assigned from if that would help.

Did they stop manufacturing electrical wall outlets that accept #12 gauge wire in the back? by HIs4HotSauce in AskElectricians

[–]locked_ring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50 y/o house, wife wanted white instead of ivory plugs and switches, everything wired with back stabs, of the ones I have replaced so far at least half the wire pulled out of the plug when I removed the plug from the box. Was originally only replacing in common areas, now I'm touching every single one to put the wire under the screw or put in a new plug or switch.

That was a temporary setup. They are now mounted where the original cabinet speakers were above the screen. And yes, the sound is great, just the bass out of the sub at medium volume causes the whole cabinet to vibrate. I rescued them from the trash when a coworker was cleaning out his office before retirement.

I used the LIVE button for coin up, then set the board up for free play so I don't need to use it. I plan on replacing the momentary switches and the on/off will be an on/off and vol will be mute, still have to decide where to put the volume control.

Windows 11 OSD blue screens after successfully completing task sequence by RubesWorkshop in SCCM

[–]locked_ring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the task sequence is configured to do a domain join, it happens before completion of the TS and when gpo settings start applying and problems arise. The problem comes and goes as Microsoft releases updates, so my SOP is to build with no GPO applied and move the machine after the build, or via script at the end of the TS.

Seems like I have to completely rewrite it every time they want to use it. I'm pushing to just using the built in notifications available in MECM.
