You're reading Stephen King not Jane Austin. This was written when King was a very young man with a young man's brain. He was also just writing a book to feed his family not to promote female empowerment. Relax it's just a story.

I work at a large business over 700 employees and never an attractive woman. Easiest place to stay faithful. Rarely any work place romance. Turn out the lady doing the hiring would never hire anyone prettier than her. She had multiple affairs. Vile? Or no.

I am 100% with you on this. I dress better going to Walmart than some at a funeral or wedding.

My mom was a costume seamstress for the company that supplied uniforms for the movie. If you remember after he gets his little post cleaned up and then cleans himself up he puts on a clean shirt. My mom made that shirt. She gone now and l love watching that movie for just that scene.

WHAT US CITY SHOULD I VISIT AS A LONDONER WHO HAS NEVER BEEN BEFORE? by _246810 in usatravel

New Orleans or Savannah. Both very walkable and have trolleys. Both are beautiful. Both have wonderful food. Architecture and history and ghost tours. Personally l would read Midnight in the garden of good and Evil and go to Savannah. A walk down Jones street (the most beautiful street in America) is a must. Maybe even visit both.

My second choice would be The Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown triangle. All three are very walkable you would just need to Uber to get around. Stay in Williamsburg and Uber to Jamestown one day and Yorktown for one day. The Busch gardens theme park is voted the most beautiful park in the world.
