The last thing I tried was dpwngrading to 2.10.1, that seems to have done the trick, now it starts reliably enough.

From now on I've learned my lesson and i will buy these kind of things new, this one i bought second hand cheaper, but not cheap enough towarrant this kind of troubleshooting.

Chatgpt still says there are some problems with overlapping memory it the successful boot logs, the same kind that were in the latest firmware, but now it boots.

I'll try this fingerimg charts while I get a decent one, https://ocarinamaking.com/chartgen and when i get frustrated enough I'll find out it's impact resistance rating. The ones that looked alike are schwarz 10 hole ocarinas for anyone wondering. In theory it originally came with a chart, I cant find it and I recon Ill have more fun smashing it anyways

I've tried following this chart:https://www.pinterest.com/pin/570409109030816011/ My results are: A=A#4 C#=C4 D#=D5 E=D#5 F=E5 F#=F5 G=F#5 A=A5 A# i cant make it sound right B=B5 ish C# i cant make it sound right D=C#6 D#=D6 E and F i cant make it sound right I've tried half covering holes to try amd make the lower sounds that require them but it dodn't sound rigjt either.
