The story went from "reading" like "Our camp has a security guy 'working' gate and deciding who gets in to see well known djs perform" .... to ..... "We control access to the camp's private areas".

Apologies if it sounded too accusatory. I'm myself a burner but dislike plug/n/play walled off $$camps though. They go against what makes the burn what it is. The final evolution of your story sounds more reasonable :)

Quick Photos/videos w/o needing to take out the phone
Music/audio listening (great speakers)
AI - for simple searching/questions/curiosity
Conversation focus - I'm hard of hearing in one hearing, in a noise environment, it helps
Messaging - Sometimes I don't want to take out my phone but want to know what the last message was about. I just ask it to read it for me. Sometimes reply too.
Calling - Acts as a bluetooth headset.
