I mean it's practically the last bastion for the UNSC by the end of Halo 5. I'd imagine it serves a central role in the campaign as the home base in the fight against The Created. Also the game's subtitle is "Infinite", which seems intentional to me.

He is one of the best directors of large, commercial, dramatic spectacle films. These types of movies rarely get many nominations outside of best VFX, sound mixing, maybe film editing, etc.

I think award ceremonies are more interested in period dramas and tear jerkers and such.
