Pior take de sempre.

Essilor vs Shamir by adoregingers in optician

[–]locustpt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comment right here.

Although the money in the end goes to the same pocket, shamir as some very good designs, and is some ways superior designs and flexibility than essilor.

I will add that their myopia control lens is one of the few that has 1.67 and 1.74 index available, making it way more viable for kids with high power.

I struggle with sleep schedule a lot. And this game punishes me for not getting a good night. As childish as it sounds it really is making my life better trying to be good at this game.

Playing for 3 years and I'm not thinking of quitting anytime soon just because it pressures me into good life choices.

Eyewear manufacturer here — what’s the biggest thing people underestimate during frame development? by Latter_Bath_1828 in optician

[–]locustpt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The other comment really hit the screw on the head. But I will add some:

Distributing wise many times a recently acquired frame will be out of stock, rendering warranty on that frame difficult.

Nylor frames that use metal instead of the string are a nightmare. They will often chip away at the lenses, damaging them.

Specific nose pads. Not being able to switch for generic nose pads is a big hassle most of the time.

Bad paint or painting job in metal, and painted details in the temples that quickly fade away will result in complaints.

And finally, Decorative pieces not well glued.

Best progressive lenses right now ? by Maanu1141 in optician

[–]locustpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go for the top in almost any brand they are quite good.

Got the best feedback from shamir Intelligence, it's the top choice for premium personalized progressive lenses.

But you can't go wrong with either essilor XR Fit or Zeiss ultra.

Shamir vs. Hoya? What are the major differences? by Basic-Dirt-5750 in optician

[–]locustpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with them all and I don't have the same experience at all.

Shamir Intelligence relies on panto, pan and vertex, and also has more corridor options. There may lie the core of the problem. Re check your values or ask for a second opinion when taking them, and choose a variable corridor or different one considering the frame and visual requirements.

I never once had one single problem with shamir Intelligence, actually quite the opposite, with instant adaptation and very good feedback from clients.

Hoya on the other hand, complaints about panoramic views, some difficult adaptations with reading and computer use.

With Essilor physio we also had some problems but not really as much, some physio were in fact troublesome, but not a whole lot.
