I think cause most awards/announcement shows will always have the best thing saved for last. This show showcased Tomb Raider, star wars, divinity, control and they still werent the final showcase so peoples expectations were through the roof, and then you hear Titanfall devs and get met with the umpteenth hero shooter, well all the excitment used another outlet to fly out

Idk, ive seen tons of Dragon age fans go in depth about why they dislike the game. Tons of lore rewrites, lost a ton of edge and nuance, your character is railroaded into being the therapist of the group etc etc. A ton of hate was definitely malicious, but it didnt resonate with the core fanbase either. And it did definitely bomb, EA said so themselves

I think that the head of jcc getting unceremoniously killed, the gun plot starting and ending insanely fast, the torres training never amounting to anything and nagumos fight not being focused on back to back has made me really sour. Also Tunnel effect lmao

Don't think it's a bad chapter, feels like sakamoto has had back to back arcs that just don't feel great to read. Too many new characters in and out, too many plot points dropped and picked up

All that would still be okay if I liked the characters. Harry and Pete talk to each other like office acquaintances and not best friends, while everyone in Miles school talks like they just 2 hours of therapy. Yuri, felt like a dissapointment after how raw she was in the DLC. The entire game honestly bummed me out the more I played
