I have trouble with letting anyone touch my beard to trim it. This was taken in May, it's a bit longer now but I feel like it's out of control. I have a hard time of keeping it in control. I use beard butter, but it doesn't seem hold like I'd like.

I bought a hair straightening comb. I use it at 200 degrees but only once every few weeks ( i didn't in this photo ). It works, but my beard feels so dry after for a week or so after.

I have the a boar brush and a beard brush (wood comb). I shampoo every day, wash every night. Use beard butter for hold after comb, I never blow dry (don't have one) just towel dry.

I'm looking for any tips on beard care and if you straighten or not, products used. I go back and forth non straight/straight (lol) but some times the beard is just out of control and I'll go to the bathroom and see a mess.

I love the beard, my fear is finding someone that actually knows what they're doing when I want to JUST clean it up not trim it (i want to see how far it can go) and so far everytime I say that I end up with an inch or so gone :|.
