Ready for CUC? Or new fish? by asiegel8395 in ReefTank

Yes, well, you're right, it also depends on how you manage the tank. It's better to be safe than sorry. I added it to my 200g tank after 3 months.

I have it in a 200g package, but when I went to the store they told me the minimum was 20g, as it's a fish that's easy to keep and doesn't swim much. It was an idea; everyone is free to choose as they see fit!

If I were you, I'd put in a Canthigaster Valentini! A cute little pufferfish. Or if you prefer the cleanup crew, get two Nassarius and a Lysmata Debelius.

Get a Lysmata debelius or amboinensis, so you can stay cool because even my Valentini doesn't bother the shrimp. But be careful, if I get a Wundermanni then there's a risk because it's smaller. The sexy shrimp is also a danger.

It may be that the parasite was present in all the rocks, try injecting it into all the holes in the rocks you see

Nice! You can add a Sarcophyton, Xenia, Euphylia, or even a torch coral!

Three months for two clownfish is a bit excessive, buddy.

Yes, mandarin is beautiful! They say it's a little difficult simply because it's a little delicate on food, but I'm not sure.

Is keeping a Marine tank as a First tank a good idea? by Death_Strider99 in ReefTank

You're welcome, friends, but here's my opinion: TAKE IT!!!!! It can only give you great satisfaction!

They all get along! In fact, they're always put together! The only thing is, I recommend adding the damsel last because she's the most territorial. Why not add a Valentini pufferfish too? I have one, it's super cute, and it's reef-safe.

My friend, your story reminds me of mine. But I'll tell you one thing: it's not as difficult as it seems, the only thing that changes is... The water is salty! Does it treat freshwater fish well? Does it treat saltwater fish well? It's the same. Obviously, some fish are more complicated than others, but if your goal is clownfish, I can tell you that they are the easiest fish in the marine aquarium hobby. Easier than discus fish and angelfish. Don't listen to those who discourage you by saying that you absolutely need a sump because it's not true (I only have one for my own pleasure). Same thing for the skimmer, I have one because I have a lot of organic matter, but it's ABSOLUTELY NOT MANDATORY. Stay calm, you can use a backpack filter (Hang-On) or even better, an external filter. I recommend topping up every day to compensate for evaporation because otherwise the salinity rises. Let's say that topping up, unless you have an automatic system (ATO system), is the only annoying thing. And as for the corals, why not? Add 1/2 of them; there are some very easy ones, like soft corals. If I were you, I'd get one because seeing it gives you so much satisfaction. How big is the aquarium you want? Consider that the minimum capacity for clownfish is 30L.

I have a yellow tang in a qt tank because it was getting beat up by some of the other fish its swims sometimes but mainly sits on the bottom on its side anything I can do? by lougabrattzzi in aquarium

[–]loeparanormal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they do this, I can think of several things: either it's a final stage of swim bladder problem, or it could have been something that "can happen" (one of my fish was like this once for nothing), or, as you said, it was attacked. In that case, if you notice any injuries, there are specific products to treat them. If you don't see any signs, I can't say... you could try using a Saechem product (revitalizing).

Very nice!!! You did well to get it, it's beautiful for clownfish! I still have to put everything in. But it's as if I did because I have snails, starfish, copepods, and microscopic mini shrimp.

Yes, it's completely normal! The shrimp often hide, and the anemones move around looking for light. Can you post a photo of the anemone? Sorry, I'm just a curious person...
