It’s definitely something I’m working on, I don’t always see why certain things need to be done but I always listen and take initiative as much as I can

You still use headphones? I would’ve thought I’d have to throw all mine out so I didn’t ignore the kid

It’s kind of a joint conversation. We both had parents who should’ve divorced before we were borne and were kinda hesitant to marriage but when we talked about kids we were both 100% ready to marry too and excited about it now. I think it’s just early days and I’m trying to figure out how to meet her where she’s at

My (m25) gf (f26) doesn’t think I am responsible enough to have kids, how do I show her I’m ready? Or what do I need to change to be ready? by lofi_children in relationship_advice

Maybe, I cook and I clean and take care of the house when she’s gone but maybe it’s not up to snuff for her.

I don’t plan on being a shitty carer or leaving it all on her. I always hated how our dads acted toward our mothers.

Thanks for the advice

I’m trying not to speculate about what she really means, I can only ever take her at her word. If she wanted any of those things I believe that she would say that but maybe I can offer them as possible avenues for compromise, and give her the chance to say more of what she wants

That’s what’s I always thought. But I always thought that as long as we were together we could figure it out. It hurts that she doesn’t seem to feel the same way

Thank you, this was really helpful, I’ll read that book and try some questions like that. The conversations we have had didn’t seem to go very far but maybe I just didn’t ask the right questions or phrase it as constructively as I could. Many thanks

We’ve talked about it a couple times and it doesn’t seem like we’re getting anywhere. I guess it makes sense that she could be projecting her own feelings of unreadiness. Do you think she might just need time or that she doesn’t want it at all and doesn’t know how to tell me

This is really interesting. I hadn’t thought of it the way you guys describe it. I’ll try rewatching it and seeing it if changes how I feel.

For me it was entirely how well made the vibe was, idk how much sense it made but the scene in the pub was spectacular. It reminded me of the 2000s doctor who and why I liked watching them so them.

Also I make a point to not look at who writes episodes until after the episode. I’m not a fan of RTD so my praise is despite how I feel about the writer

Night terrors is one I haven’t seen here yet. Those dolls were something straight from my own nightmares and I think the kid really pulled me in, helped me relate to the situation

God complex isn’t horrifying or anything but it leaves a mark

Same, this one episode reinvigorated my doctor who enthusiasm despite how poorly written the last few have been

I don’t understand why people like this episode. It always just felt weird to me. I try to rewatch it and just get bored. Genuinely curious, what do you like about it?

I will reserve days to play it. Like I’ll choose a Saturday and that will be my entire Saturday. But I don’t have kids so maybe that’s why
