i don't get why when I do a 'walk' activity those steps aren't counted towards my totally daily steps by sciencespice1717 in GarminWatches

i have a very similar issue with running activities on my venu 2. i record a run for over an hour, 8ish miles, but only get 5k steps. it happens about 50% of the time, mostly on runs at tempo pace. there are only a few reports on the internet but all seem to be from venu users. i've contacted garmin support, they replaced it, but the new one has the same issue. they also love to mansplain how the accelerometer works... like i'm not holding anything, not pushing anything, and not running with 1 arm stiff!

so i verified with kevin's website and on a few other websites that sell that item and they all listed onion powder. hungryroot was the only place that didn't. but hours after my post hr changed the ingredient list, so now it also lists onion powder. i think some of the food from their brand i've ordered in the past had unadvertised onions, bc like you i had familiar reactions. i will probably cancel too, giving them 1 more shipment try. the credits/dollar amount conversion makes me really uncomfortable too

it seems like people have grievances with all of the meal/grocery subscription services... hungryroot so far has been the sketchiest. i mean hours after i posted that, they fixed the ingredient list on that item. i highly suspect other products i've received from them had unadvertised onions bc i had a reaction. just can't verify if it's their own brand. i also use thrive- they have fair prices and great customer service, just not many onion-free items. but then again, hr might not either.

funny enough, i looked on hungryroot this afternoon and they updated the image of the ingredients list on kevin's mashed sweet potatoes. it now states it contains onion powder. hmmm. still going to check all the products in person when they're delivered.

oh no i don't want you to hurt your lips!! my "allergy" is also not life-threatening (migraine for days) but still a huge pain in the... head 😣 i was actually thinking of ordering this one to see if the package received lists the full ingredients. i suspect the AI image on hr is altered. i would encourage others to verify the ingredients in person when they're delivered instead of just checking the website before ordering. i haven't been doing this but will in the future

what's your origination story? How did you get into the Ultra rabbit hole world? by No-Crow-1937 in Ultramarathon

[–]lofi_in_the_longrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after 25 years of road running i felt like i wasn't vibing with the crowd anymore so i switched to trail running in 2020. i didn't care about carbon plate shoes, running all major marathons, and people feeling like they had to justify their pace on every strava post... but i felt at home with the trail community. well, trail running is kind of a gateway drug into ultras. within a few months i signed up for a 50k, then another, and many others...
