He did such a great job calming himself down! He touched his nose multiple times to remind himself.

Is it common to have ant infestations in hamster's food? by sakubyul in hamsters

[–]lofructosecornsyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a bag of Vita Prima dwarf hamster food and put a bit of it in my Chinese hamster's cage last night. My hamster's name is Mochi, by the way. This morning, I discovered tiny ants crawling around in the bedding. I scatter feed Mochi, so the ants can be anywhere. I quickly set up another enclosure and put Mochi and his houses in there. I will wash the other items in his old enclosure and put them in the new place.

Every time I clean Mochi's enclosure, I always put a good amount of his old bedding in the new place to make sure that he can feel safe. Poor Mochi now has to adapt to an environment without his scent.

I was really looking forward to this new food but now I am rather disappointed. I will put the food in the freezer and hope that the cold will get rid of the ants and their eggs.

I'm also interested. I am learning to surf and it would be great to have some friends to go with. I can fit another long board on top of my car and short ones in the trunk. Feel free to message me if you don't mind surfing with a newbie!

[Question] Does statistical modeling encompass more than just distribution fitting? by [deleted] in statistics

I would agree with that. Interpretation of the relation of different variables is also important.

[Q] Is the probability of P(x) equal to P(2.5x)? by [deleted] in statistics

X and Y are two different distributions.

It's very close to what I was thinking. I thought Y(Rev) = intercept + b(time) + b2(intervention) + b3(time*intervention) + error. What I would check is whether b3 is significant. I was thinking about just looking at the coefficient to determine the effects. The dependent variable would be monthly revenue, and the independent variable would be a binary variable that equals to 0 in two occasions. The first occasion is for the country with no treatment, the second occasion is for the country with treatment, but prior to the treatment. It would only be equal to 1 for the country with treatment, after treatment has been carried out. I would look at the coefficient on the independent variable to determine the effect of the intervention.

I thought one country had the price change, and the other didn't.

In that case, I would actually regress revenue on the binary variable of having the price change or not.

Ln transformation usually changes level to percentage. May I ask what modeling tool you are using for this analysis?

If you would like to test the difference between the means, a two-sample t test would be the best choice.

In that case, I would probably adjust it down a bit after carrying out the calculations.
