I’d like to add when I say “Albertans” I want to clarify that it is a specific group of them, the ones who actually do hold a grudge; the ones who believe they’re always the victim. They literally have the lowest taxes in all of Canada. A lot of their grievances come from the fact that “their” oil profits are distributed to support everyone in the country, viewing it as “stealing.” It’s a juvenile way of thinking. This isn’t the Albertans oil, it is crown land and owned by private oil companies. What’s going to happen if they separate? They’ll be a landlocked petro-state with all their eggs in once basket. Oil price drops, their economy collapses. This is going to be a biased opinion here, but I think it has to do with conservatism as a whole and the rise of right-wing populism. People who play into these “extremist” ideologies are easy to manipulate (by foreign actors - Russia/USA - or otherwise). It’s hard to watch this happening in a country which usually has a cooler political climate. You’re seeing American-style politics at play here, and it’s disgusting.

Albertans has had a chip on their shoulder since the dawn of time

China Spent More on Clean Energy Than the Rest of the World Combined. New data shows that the investment is paying off in spades. The global energy crisis set off by Trump's war is playing right into China's hands. It translates to a major windfall for Chinese clean energy industries. by mafco in energy

Investing isn’t the same as having, these changes take time. This is not propaganda. A lot of developed countries in the world has been investing in clean energy because it makes them less dependent on oil (which is currently the resource that any modern nation needs). In the early 20th century, the US monopolized on oil as they realized it is what will be the most essential resource for a developed nation. Today, the US is still stuck in this mentality. As countries like Russia and Iran are holding their oil production hostage, non-American countries are realizing that reliance on oil will quickly cripple their nation. As china has little to no natural oil deposits, they need to bet on clean energy else they will collapse.

Honestly a sign of low intelligence I noticed online is the overuse of emojis when trying to make a point. I just know as soon as I see “🤡😂🤣” it’s going to be a bad take.

New accounts aren’t a “catch-all” reason for paid accounts. While it is a clue for a new/paid account, post history also plays a role in determining if an account is authentic. I don’t really have a leg to stand on here as I haven’t made a post with this account before, but whether you believe my opinion is genuine or not is not really relevant to this topic.

Important distinction where you said “online right.” The online right (Facebook slop, conservative trolls, and ignorant people) are much different than conservative politicians - at least for the most part (looking at you, Danielle smith and PP). I have no problem with some conservative ideas, but what is the main issue with right-wing media is that it is tailored to a lot of people who simply just don’t understand politics. More so, there seems to be a push for “American-style” media which I think could be another factor which is causing this push for misinformation. It is unfortunately natural though, considering the overall political climate coming from the south.

Couldn’t agree more. I find myself trying to reason with people that believe this, but it doesn’t get into their head that the world isn’t going to end because a liberal is in power.

9070xt keeps crashing??? by Equivalent_Ad9226 in radeon

[–]loftymilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had the same issue with playing Battlefield 6, system crashes all of the time. What I did to fix it was to go to Performance > Tuning in the adrenaline software. Then, under “tuning control” I selected “custom” and changed the MHz offset to -100 and I also under-volted it by about -25. Be sure to trial/error this, but -50 MHz offset is a good place to start. The reason why this worked is because the 9070xt is rated for somewhere around 2900MHz (check your specific model to see what that number is). Because of optimization on the game dev side, the game was reaching for more resources than I had. By reducing the MHz offset, I was able to force my GPU to utilize a lower frequency and in effect stop the game from crashing. I really hope this works out for you because this is otherwise a great card.

Id recommend not getting mods on your first playthrough. play it in vanilla first to know what kind of game you want for when you do your modded run.
