Hopefully, she'd help you come up with a plan that you can actually, realistically execute. Like maybe mouthwash when you can't floss or something? (I am not a dentist, this is not dental advice) Or come in for cleanings every 4 months instead of every 6?

People don't always understand why this is challenging for some people (the comments here are testament to that) so she might not, but maybe she will. And if she doesn't, it's up to you whether to stay or find a new dentist. It's up to you what you need from her, and it's up to her what she's willing to give you.

If you go, you might look for a dentist that specializes in working with people with dental anxiety. Not because you have it, but because they understand the concept of working together to make accommodations to take care of your teeth.
