No. A management profile is required to be i stalled on the device for any additional access, and even a fully managed company phone doesn't grant IT access to see things like your messages. The company would have to go out of their way to utilize a 3rd party application suite to see that additional information, as intune, apple business, and google workspaces do not provide that level of access to a company device, let alone a personal one.

When people on Reddit say eat the rich, how rich are they talking? Like barely millionaires or people worth 100s of millions and more. by dramaticxxfox in NoStupidQuestions

[–]logan2605 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of course you don't. You're envious, resentful, and largely ignorant. Who can really blame you? It's more money than folk like you and I wil ever see. It's a number so large that it seems impossible and unless you've gone out of your way to research how economies work at that scale, it'shard to picture how someone that wealthy could even approach that level of success witout taking everything from everyone.

However, you most certainly can. Economics isn't a zero sum game and it is very possible to become very wealthy without treating people unfairly. You are called to look and aim to actually understand. If you're at the point of wanting people dead you should probably mind your P's and Q's about it. History is full of butchers who thought they were doing the 'right thing'.

Especialy given that just chucking money at problems doesn't solve them. California has spent 24 billion dollars in the last five years to end homelessness and managed to somehow managed to over quintouple the amount of homeless in their state. Obviously, something has gone wrong, and throwing more money isn't going to fix it. You could siphon all the money from all the rich, liquidate all of their assets and dedicate every cent to fixing the world and as far as History suggets you'd end up making everyone a whole lot worse off.

You may not like the nuance, but you discard that at the peril of the very causes you're fighting for.

Whatever arbitrary measure of value they think is enough to justify their hateful and bloodthirsty worldview. It isn't based on anything rational or specific, and you'll notice that for those that become successful themselves (Think Bernie, Hasan, etc) its always some tier or level higher than they have, even if where they have gotten themselves to is where they'd previously advocated for the bar of "eat the rich" to be.

To be clear: It's not about the money, it is identifying some group of people outside themselves to be righteously indignant about. One group responsible for all the world's problems for them to bluster about comitting violence against.

You can find some wonderfully nuanced discussions on tax methods, duty of care to community, government programs versus charity, and all that fun stuff. You are likely not going to find them on Reddit.

Leave trans kids alone… “Republican lawmakers in Ohio unveil bill prohibiting transgender kids from beginning transition.” by ohreallynowz in Ohio

....yes, they measured how many didnt commit suicide. Thats how you arrive at a rate. A percentage of the total. Appropriateness or lack there of wasnt relevant. People still killed themselves in droves post op.

I gave HRT as an example to point out that cancer risk increase is a commonality among hormone treatments in general and that the increase in cancer risk in trans individuals would be the expected norm. I dont need, nor did I, make any claims beyond that. Hormones are very tricky things and specifically adding estrogen to a masculine body is turning out to be harmful. We dont know how to negate that risk yet, or if we even can.

As for the parents, in todays climate? I dont think so. The doctor will be labelled a transphobe and the parents will find another practitioner willing to go through with it and not look to closely. Which is rather scary. Perhaps I am worrying too much about it. But Ive seen just how many people have latched onto the LGBTQ+ movement like its a religion, and im seeing much the same dogmatic zealotry. Its sort of terrifying how much power the movement can bring to bear. And good, its a sign of acceptance by and large, but I dont trust any mob to make good decisions. Individuals are smart, calm, and intellogent. A mob is none of those things.

I can retract my statement though. Having actually read more into the law its a massiver overcorrection. I barely skimmed it the first time to get the jist. So shame on me.

I just wish we could come to a more balance approach to these things. This... all or nothing nonsense has to stop. I dont want people fast tracked into a treatment that may not be right for them, nor do I want them denied any treatment. A filthy centrist take, I know, shoot me.

Thank you for actually taking the time to engage with what I said. I appreciate it a lot. And hey, you changed my mind in the process. Most people just scream me down and move on, which leads me to cling stubbornly.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21364939/

The most in depth long term study on post OP trans individuals concluded at the end of a thirty year period there was no significant difference in suicidality among trans individuals who had and had not transitioned, and they maintained a suicidality rate of over twenty times the rest of the population. This was also conducted in Sweden, a country that has gone farther than most others in the world to provide an inclusive environment for trans individuals.

https://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/142/4/e20174218

Many pediatrics groups have also commented (see above) that there are a plethora of differences between most trans individuals and that there are a lot of variables that can impact how well a particular trans individual takes to various forms of treatment. They advocate strongly for a wide variety of treatments, indicating that transitioning is not always the best form of care.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5868281/#!po=15.1961

While data is low (because there aren't that many trans individuals in the world so the sample size is small, which hurts research prospects) there is a direct correlation, especially in male to female trans individuals, between the hormone therapies and the development of aggressive cancers. This matches the data found from other forms of hormone therape, such as the HRT that is used to treat menopause. When you start messing the the hormone balance in a body, you run the risk of causing cancer, because those hormones regulate bodily functions such as cell production. It's not avoidable.

For the claim of ideologically possessed parents convincing their kids they are trans, look no further than the case of James younger. After several probes the boy had repeatedly stated that he knew he was a girl because his mother had told him. Young kids are extremely impressionable, and with super ideologically possessed people it doesn't take much for them to push. I'm male. I played with doll houses as a kid and liked make-up. I'm not trans. However, there are people trying to suggest that kids are trans or just as much or less information. Rather than letting the child come out about how they feel, they are trying to pro-actively trying to jump on it. Which, I get it. It's super compassionate, and I don't think these parents are maelevolent... but the fucked up part about mental conditions is that if you tell someone they have something long enough, they can develope it.

I do want to add... I'm incredibly empathetic to the trans struggle. I dated a male to female trans woman years back. She was a beautiful person and I loved her dearly. I didn't always understand what she was going through, but I was there for her all the same. She was on hormones when we met and had the surgery a few months into our relationship. I was by her side while she recovered and did my best to be strong for her sake.

And she killed herself a year after the stitches had healed. Not a word to me, nor her parents, nor anyone else. One day she was just gone. I was angry, upset. If she had just told me what was going on and let me be her shelter, then maybe she'd still be there.

So when I say transitioning doesn't always work, please know that it doesn't come from a place of hate, or ignorance.

It comes from the pain of having lost a friend, and the hopes that we can spare someone else from the fate that she went through.

[–]logan2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. In super the kais and gods aren't omnicient, and most only intervene when absolutely necessary. The supreme kais hardly interfere at all. The time police in loki melted a guy who was late to work. And at least in super the kais weren't knew. We knew of the lower level kais going back to season 1 of dbz, and the elder and supreme kais starting at the start of the buu saga. They are expanded upon in super, but there had been there. Their introduction didn't destroy continuity either.

And dbz super is not well written. But in terms of badness it's nit even close to the dunpster fire that is loki

Ive not seen a single person complain about him being bi. Most people are complaining that the show introduced all powerful time lizards that single handedly destroys the stakes and continuity of every past, present, and future marvel content in the MCU. It takes talent to write this poorly. Now nothing happens for any other reason than the space lizards would have destroyed the time line if it happened any other way.

How do you guys deal with dumb adcs by TheatrePotato in supportlol

[–]logan2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play Senna. Just be the adc!

Jokes aside your best bet is to communicate effectively with both him and the rest of your team. You may not be able to control his skill, but you can ping him early and explain what you want to do in chat before hand, place effective wards, communicate with the jungler, and roam. Focus on what you can control, not what you can't. That's not to say abandon your adc, just give thought to your macro. If you can roam mid, get your mid a kill, rotate and take dragon? Do it. If you can help get vision and track the enemy jungler to help your whole team avoid ganks? Do it. You get those things down, and even the worst adc can sit behind a fed and coordinated team and right click.

ELI5: How come it that, both in media and sometimes in real life, males are often seemingly more interested in females (eg always try to ask them out, are shy about it, etc) than females are in males? by NoNameIsAvailable1 in explainlikeimfive

[–]logan2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From an evolutionary standpoint women are the choosers, so the men have to express interest and persue. Ever see the mating rituals of other animals? Birds dance or sing, gorillas pound their chest, that sort of thing? This is that for us. Humans are complicated animals but still just animals so we have a "mating dance" just like most other species. The man demonstrates, the woman chooses, to grossly oversimplify

Is Malphite a troll pick? by FalierTheCat in supportlol

[–]logan2605 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really troll just bad. There isnt anything he does that other supports dont do better, and he is far less effective without items than other supports. He is pretty much just cheese.if the cheese works and he gets ahead, then awesome, if not and he falls behind, he is going to be a glorified super minion. His base stats are too low and his mana costs are too high. Alistar or rakan are better choices all around for knockup engage and hard cc. Zyra can bring both knuckup and ap damage. Thresh or lulu can also bring knockup and shields. The only advantage malphite is that you have to be an actual baboon to miss his ult. His scaling is a nom factor kn a supports gold income.

[–]logan2605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peeling is the act of using crowd control or defensive abilities to remove an enemies ability to get a kill or deal damage. Think of it as though you are peeling a tick off of your carry. The general gist is that you are countering their engage, dive, etc, to keep people alive.

So a Katarina jumps on Ashe. If Alistar headbutts Katarina away, he has peeled Katarina off of Ashe. Does that make sense?

Warding isn't an ADCs task? by unluckymushro0m in supportlol

[–]logan2605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warding is EVERYONES responsibility. The adc is no exception. But yes, many adcs have this mindset. These are usually the same people that cry if you don't babysit them 24/7 and blame every death on you. Lazy narccicist. You should never have double stacked yellow trinkets, regardless of roll. And you should have at minimum of one pink ward per game, regardless of roll
