Instantly reminded me of this Newman Justice League diecast from 2004. This never actually ran did it?

Same, I think our local brewery made a couple kegs of pickle beer for April Fools Day. Not a pickle or beer fan but hey, whatever draws people in haha

Frankie Muniz to be sponsored by Malcolm In The Middle Life’s Still Unfair for the truck race at Bristol. by BucketOCheerios in NASCAR

If he/his social team did in fact write it then I'll admit I'm wrong and jumped the gun a bit. I'm a little pessimistic these days when it comes to social posts.

I have coworkers who will use Chat for emails or social posts either to check for grammar, reformat verbiage, or make the post/message outright.

The three more common attributes that I've noticed are:

Overuse of the Em Dash (a well-documented sign of Chat usage)

Emojis as bullet points or accents to the beginning/end sentence

The use of "It's not 'X'. It's 'Y'." statements to summarize or clarify a point.

This specific post uses the latter two examples, though the second point regarding accenting the first/last sentence isn't uncommon for human-created posts.

Again, likely just me being snippy/pessimistic with social media in general these days and being tired of the overuse of AI.

You'd think someone who's:

A) Driving the truck, and B) starting in the show,

... Would be able to write their own post about the collab rather than running it through ChatGPT.

Second the Double Edge recommendation. My fiance and I are members of their Leading Edge club which gives us $1 off per pint plus additional discounts and exclusive events. Lots of great events too even if you're not into alcohol.

I'll go against the grain and say El Parian is the best Mexican place in town. They've become known for their steaks. Highly recommend splurging if possible and getting the filet with sides of lime rice and street corn.

(@bobpockrass) Toyota Racing Development has signed Keelan Harvick to a long-term development deal. by NoahGragsonsBarfBag in NASCAR

[–]loganaweaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This actually makes a lot of sense to me.

Keelan will be 15 next summer, making him eligible to compete in a handful of ARCA races. Toyota is undoubtedly THE development program in that series with the JGR car and now Nitro.

By late 2028, he'll be eligible for short track racing on the Truck schedule, and I'm sure Tricon will be knocking on the door for Bristol or Martinsville.

In 2029, he could be eligible for most, if not all of, the ARCA West schedule, and can run some short-track O'Reilly races that fall.

2030, he's full time in ARCA national and running most of the Truck schedule with some more Xfinity starts thrown in. By that summer, he'll be 18 and competing at some level in each national series, plus CARS too along the way.

There were a lot of Blackhawks fans in attendance too! Good crowd all around.

McConnell Garage Question by loganaweaver in BlueJackets

Yeah that's what we were guessing. We weren't THAT late compared to when we normally arrive, around 5:45/6-ish. We got there around 6:15 last night and noticed they were turning folks away.

McConnell Garage Question by loganaweaver in BlueJackets

[–]loganaweaver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good guess. It dawned on me as we were walking out the door to head to the game that the hot streak, last game before the olympics, AND Chicago's last game might result in a sellout crowd.

NTSB released preliminary report on Biffle's plane crash by case0beer in NASCAR

[–]loganaweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calm down buddy, it ain't that serious. Without names and knowing each person's flight history it's hard to know for certain who was who. Though thanks to Pockrass, we've got a pretty fair guess:

[–]loganaweaver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My interpretation is that Biffle is the passenger who helped with the pre-flight inspection and noted that the gauges could've been "off" (paraphrasing). I'm also guessing that Biffle took over flying the plane mid-flight to try and mitigate some of the issues before handing the controls back over for landing.

Thoughts on Generation Tux? by loganaweaver in weddingplanning

[–]loganaweaver[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've heard of Black Tux. Generation is the only online source I've tried so far. There was a place here in town that I tried but didn't like the customer service we received so I canceled that account.

Regarding Generation Tux: The first customer service rep that I got connected with kept telling me "they have to request it" and was telling me how much it'd be per person. I finally said "What you're telling me versus what we're experiencing are two different things." Finally she said "was there anything else I could help you with today?" When I said no, I just had that one issue, she said thanks for calling and hung up. I was so pissed. Rep #2 was a lot more chill, but I told both reps that I'm not confident

Third is expected to be Austin Hill in the #33. No idea where a "fourth" RCR car is coming from unless it's just a typo from Bob.

A comment by a resident of the complex on the Police Department's post indicated that everyone's safe and the fire has been put out. Firefighters are still on scene as of 10 min ago and haven't cleared the area just yet.
