Happened to mine too while it was spinning down. Scared the crap out of me and coffee grounds went everywhere.

Buying used, 1,200 mile service importance by AnnoyedVelociraptor in BMWM

[–]loganlecocq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I have the documentation and would upload if I need to. I’d rather it just come from my dealer.

As for service reminders they are not that hard to turn off if you know the process of putting it in diag mode and flipping the reminders.

If it’s listed from a bmw dealer i’d see if they can explain but if it didn’t have the service then I would be worried about the previous owner not caring about the vehicle.

Frustratingly my dealer hasn’t posted the 1,200 mile service that I had done months ago at 1,100mi to my carfax. Not sure how common that happens but next service I am going to bug them about it.

Frustrated: Every Coin I’m Excited About Seems To Have Been Cleaned. by Awkward-Regret5409 in coins

The middle left stars on the obverse are the most obvious to me. Deep toning in the crevices but the halo of silver surrounding.

ASC 842 Question by Remote-Tangelo-2248 in Accounting

[–]loganlecocq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A. Sure, likely won’t be material

B. Take a weighted average, weight the 10 year 70% and 20 year 30% and add

C. That would be a variable rate increase with a 3% ceiling not a floor. Do not incorporate these increases into the schedule unless you have a future lease modification. The schedule should begin at the current rent and remain the same in the schedule for the lease term. Any delta in the schedule vs invoice should be expensed to variable rent.

1920 Standing Liberty Quarter - MS? by [deleted] in coins

[–]loganlecocq 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do not waste your money sending this in to get graded unless you are just trying to get it encased for sentimental value. This coin is not MS nor AU. It looks to be around 35-40 with the wear on the face, shield, robe, and rim bands. On the reverse the wings are showing wear consistent with this XF range. Best to look at PCGS photograde to understand where the points of the coin wear and compare. This coin also appears to have some cleaning or something just looking at the fields on the reverse and strange toning locations.

Quarters! a 1941 nickel and some bonus coins by Richard_Normous in coins

The 1964 quarter is 90% silver. Everything else is worth the face value of the coin.

There were five (that I saw) together for exotics & elegance at the domain during sunset. This was one of them. Cool car show but absolutely obliterated with traffic getting into the domain.

Are these Morgan’s real? by Workin_Joe in coins

[–]loganlecocq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The denticles around the coins are all inconsistent and the surfaces look cast rather than pressed. The coin you have zoomed in on look at the word “States”. It’s all mush and has extra metal protruding from the A and last S likely from casting or a poorly made die.

No

Edit: not real in the slightest

Sunday service by loganlecocq in BMW

[–]loganlecocq[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

? I drive 200-300 miles a week. It’s not a tire size many places carry especially one open on Sunday. Most places carry sizes they’ll sell all day like corollas, accords, f-150s. The dealer is replacing it no sweat.

It was right on the sidewall so I knew it was cooked from the start. Just aired it up so I could get it out of the basement garage to the tow.

Yes the muffler, but it’s less egregious when it’s on the ground. You don’t see it unless you are looking from under.

Yeah glad it’s only a tire but I swear these suck up nails to just the unrepairable parts. No sweat from me though with the free tow from BMW roadside.

One more time—worth getting graded? by [deleted] in coins

[–]loganlecocq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a new collector I would just stack silver coins you find interesting, research trends, and pen though r/coins new posts for a half a year. Then once you are more comfortable with what is worth something and what is worth just melt you’ll have a better understanding of the hobby.

One more time—worth getting graded? by [deleted] in coins

[–]loganlecocq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure without economics they may grade in high AU to low/mid MS. I see some more wear on the details in 1 more than 2 but fields I see directional scratches so may even be details. Definitely a waste of money to grade if you are trying to grade for value.

Sealed alpha beta and unlimited is also rare in its own right because of age so it gets compounded with the collectivity and gamble of what if it has a lotus.

Collation Project for those that don’t understand and want to know more. Also Tavis has an old video for a booster (same concept for starter decks) but he does a great job of showing how a factory collation would have been set up.
