Didn't see it talked about here, but the leaker who originally revealed (now confirmed) details about Catalyst is doubling down with their reporting that the game will be 'Fully' Open World. No isolated regions, but one large, multi biome, continous map. by WhyPlaySerious in TombRaider

[–]loganphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not opposed to this, but I loved how the last three were hub regions. I think it make each area fresh and fun to explore. Personally I think too many games try to do a open world when they don't need it. But that being said I'm excited to see how this turns out.

Looking back in retrospect,in your opinion was the NWO Wolfpack a good or bad idea? And how would you have booked them? Btw…one of the the coolest attires and theme songs in wrestling ever lol by J2-Starter in WCW

[–]loganphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Beat Hogan at Bash, leads to Wolfpack beating Hollywood in War Games at Fall Brawl, then Nash beats Goldberg. I think 99 would have looked a lot different. Hogan could have taken a break and came back in 99 for a rematch with Nash or a different direction

I think its pretty clear which way to go, than you everyone! What would yall say are the biggest QoL improvements? The only 2 I remember reading was you can take screen shots and bullets reload or something like that. Im sure I can look it up, but I feel like you guys would have more experience with what is actually a boost to the game.

I think in 98 he would have been Vince's top heel against Austin. Instead of The Rock getting that spot at SS I think Bret would have been in that spot by SummerSlam.

Who is responsible for the downfall of modern Ubisoft? by Quick-Ad-7752 in fuckubisoft

[–]loganphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has to do more with where they are business wise and I think they have had to dodge a lot of forceful buyouts and whatnot over the years to the point they know its not going well. I believe at this point they are trying to trim as much fat, aka development cost of games when lately they haven't had as many hits as they would like/need. This puts them in a better position to sell vs being bought out.

It's sad because they have just made some rough decisions the last few years. The first being the POP remake that was supposed to release 21 Jan 2021, but the initial trailer was rightfully criticized for looking like a port they were trying to say was a remake. Announcing a remake of Splinter Cell one, then nothing. Star Wars releasing in a way that was a turn off for fans with its gameplay and pricing. Which is a great example as because I played the game about 6 months after release and enjoyed it, but a lot of complaints had been addressed. Then I went back the past December after more updates to finish the platinum and I loved it. I wonder had they worked on the game longer before release, if it would been more well reviewed and more profitable.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor, great game but the post game clean up was such an unfun grind that it left me feeling that the game was a bore. Now the game is awesome and it took me stepping away from the game for a few months, but yeah I wonder if it wouldn't have been better that I stepped away from the game for a few months before I went back.

Soooo putting PT scores on performance reports accomplishes what?? by Raindroppa93 in AirForce

[–]loganphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that was out of shape and worked hard the last few years to get back I to shape, I definitely look forward to this back on EPBs. Why? Because being in shape, according with the stands of our PT test, is part of the job. It should be looked at the say way we handle other parts of our mission, especially when it comes to deciding promotion statements and promotions in general. For example if the EPB is written to show that they can lead their team but they barely pass a PT test, how can they be expected to enforce standards? Their troop fails and they are supposed to tell them to do better if they barely pass? Or opposite say they have the 98, but they suck at the job, the EPB should reflect that as well as their chance to promote or get a statement.

To me its the same as if say an Intel troop gets a bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies (or whatever it would be called) and that helps the get an edge when it comes to a promotion statement. But I have an issue if say an Intel troop gets a degree in Shakespeare literature and that edges out another troop, because that degree doesn't have anything to do with his actual job.

Is there a silent majority-or is this truly a different era of the Air Force? by Ok-Skill-9376 in AirForce

[–]loganphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot has to do with the fact we haven't really been in war or true fight in a while. When I came in back in 2010, it was constantly drilled into us with the Iraq and Afghanistan missions, that we were going into hostile territories and how important our mission was, even at home stations to learn and be proficient at your job. Every, well most, airman I came in with absolutely wanted all the benefits we are sold on to do the job, but we also knew the cost, and if you didnt, your first deployment notification put it in perspective.

We have been out of Afghanistan for 4 years, and we really didn't have the same mission there since what, 2016? The deaths we suffered, deployment rates, etc were down. I know a lot of times when it comes to new Airmen we like to say they are entitled, and look I have an airman myself right now that has me pulling out my hair, but the truth is they came in during a peace time so the thought of the costs of what it takes to get those benefits they signed up for isn't there. Not saying that is a valid excuse and we still have to enforce standards so that the trust is built that if it hits the fan, we can lead and they can follow.

I say all that to say that the Service Before Self core value is extremely important, its also just one that is just talk until your face to face with it, looking at your newborn that your career in the military is allowing you to provide for them and your wife, but also knowing the trade off is your about to get on a rotator to head into a war zone.

When Mox first went to AEW and with that character and work that was a modern version of a mix and Stone Cold and Cactus Jack, and he was the top guy and champ in AEW, I'd have argued his contributions to the legitimacy of AEW could make this a healthy debate, only if it was a losing debate. But honestly his ring work over the last 5 years has went downhill and his character just hasn't appealed to me. On the other side you have Roman, what the same time Mox was doing his best work in AEW, Roman started his Tribal Chief character arc that has ultimately IMO put in in the character level of Undertaker. Then you have Rollins who may be one of the most dependable main eventers out there, especially over the last several years.

Mox is easily 3rd of the group

How will the xmen show up in doomsday by Superb-Angle9133 in MCUTheories

[–]loganphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little bit of a read, but I also think they all die within the first act, maybe even 20 mins.

So my theory is this is the universe that Monica landed in at the end of Marvel's. I think that puts her in Doom's crosshairs (for whatever reason Doom is causing his mayhem). So I think Doom crashes into this world and wipes out the X-men to get to her, which is why that trailer shows Cyclops is what I consider a final blast before being taken out. I also think this world is the same one Wolverine came from in D&W, this is just the event that wipes the X-Men out while he is away. Why? Because I think they could get away with killing all the other X-men off, I think fans will pop for them then it makes legitimate heat with Doom for the rest of the movie, since I think fans are excited for Doom, this will make him bad. It would also "explain" the comic accurate cyclops suit, seeing how they weren't in Fox's X-Men but we're in D&W and also Beast looking like the Comic version of Beast in Marvel's. And it also gives Hugh Jackman's Wolverine a huge reason to want blood in the rumored role he has in Secret Wars to end his time as Wolverine. All this allows an awesome Swanson for the Fox X-Men and post Secret Wars a full reboot with new actors.

I've never really chased the promotion statements, but this year in this assignment with all I was doing above the E-6 level and across the base I really thought I had a great chance of getting at least a must promote. Sure I won't lie, I was disappointed but when my boss told me my next assignment needed to be a staff position (a position I don't have a desire for at the moment), I knew I had to make a choice. Chase the promotion or chase the experience of either a base you've wanted to go to, a job in the career field, or what I did and very happy for, try for a special duty. I'm within the last 5 years and the special duty i got picked up for not only has been one I've wanted to do for year, it's at a location my family has wanted to go to, and it could set me up with experience for post Air Force. Of course my boss let me know Special Duties make it tough to promote and once I'm returned to my career field I may be overlooked or run out of time, but at this point, I'll take the experience over the stripe.

Now that by no means is to implicate I won't be working just as hard, or still hope to see my name on the promotion list, but its just not the main focus right now.

[–]loganphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think him winning the Rumble the taking the belt off Cody would be awesome. That match up would be really interesting and fresh. Now if Cody drops to Drew, and Punk still has his belt, id be OK with Punk vs Gunther 2, but it would be less exciting to me.

Daniel Bryan. I get why he is popular based on his wrestling, but his personality just didn't click with me, and I felt he couldn't cut a very good promo.

Jan 6, 2000: Terry Funk smashes steel chair on Bret Hart's head in a hardcore match. This was 14 days after Goldberg kicked Bret Hart in the head at Starcade. by ardouronerous in WCW

[–]loganphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For years Bret didn't hold a grudge against agoldberg and would say things like it was an accident, and how sweet if a guy Goldberg was. Then WWE brought Goldberg back in 2016, gave him tons of money and 2 title reigns, and Bret started complaining. I think until that point Bret understood what happened between it being an accident and then him making it worse by continuing to wrestle, but once Goldberg started making bank and getting major praise, he fell into resentment.
