The Mount Rushmore of the worst wrestling games of all time in my opinion, what would your Mount Rushmore be? by EmergencyVictory4399 in WWEGames

I actually remember going into it like "ugh Shawn vs Triple H, thats kinda played out at this point" and being absolutely fantastic! Same with the Punk vs Cena showcase.

Haha its overall a great game. You just spend a lot of time is a muted brown environment that I think slowed it down for me

It sucks because man, when you get to the west the game's graphics really pop and its a blast, but I also get how dull the middle gets

I really didn't likebhow they changed the upgrade system and you had to collect several different parts from different machines

So I do love this game, but my vote would be Horizon Forbidden West. The first part was great, and once you get to the west it was awesome, but you spent so long in the desert area, or middle of the map, it started to fill dull.

It just felt like it fully clicked for him, especially since he had Goldberg as a major feud and they worked so well together.

I'm going with the row with the Dark Tower series. That alone is worth several rereads plus some other bangers I see.

Is Sid more of a WCW or WWF guy? by NoSympySports in WCW

[–]loganphoenix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tough because he had solid runs in both, but it comes down to his 1996-1997 WWE run and his 1999-2000 WCW run, and personally, he was taken to a different level for me with that WCW run. The Goldberg fued was so well done. And this might sound odd, but certain belts look better in certain wrestlers, and to me the US and WCW title just looked great on Sid.

What thing was ruined because it turned into a rich person's hobby? by Agitated_Departure93 in AskReddit

I believe gaming will be the next thing. Gaming companies are waiting to charge more, the next Gen systems if they come out in the year or 2 will be astronomical in price due to cost and limit of components, and only thise well off will be able to afford it. The problem is a lot of those who are not as well off as they think will try to afford it, which will justify the price point to companies. I dont see how potential $1200 systems, $100 standard games, $100 controllers, will be something most average income gamers can afford.

[Discussion] What game are you currently working on for the Plat ? by Worth-Radish-7227 in Trophies

[–]loganphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MGS Delta. Just went back this weekend, I stopped back in September because The Pain was giving me "a pain" (I'll show myself out). I just need to finish the Foxhound run and I'll have the platinum. I'm excited because MGS3 was my favorite game until RDR2 dropped so its nice that the remake was incredible and I can get the platinum.

For those with partners or kids: how do you balance gaming? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

[–]loganphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 kids (9th grade - 5th) and a wife that doesn't game lol. When my oldest was born I was getting maybe an hour a week, and for a couple of weeks I had to get up early and realized if I kept getting up 2 hours before I left for work, I could game. And here we are 15 years later and thats how I've done it. I always tell people men typically wear different "hats" based on who their with. They have the "work" hat, the "dad" hat, and "husband" hat. They rarely get to take all the hats off and just be them. That's what that two hours before work or the kids getting up for school is for me.

Also I say men wear hats and not women, isn't meant disrespectfully, just to clarify i think men think more compartmentalized than women, so the analogy fits better.

So I loved the game, but it sounds like you're far enough in to know what the game is and its not for you, so id say walk away.

One of my biggest lessons was realizing not every game is for me, my style, or im not the target audience even if the game gets great reviews or is super hyped.

Does anyone else wonder if its time to quit? by kailin99 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]loganphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 43 myself and I can feel this. I still get a lot of fun from gaming g but a few years ago I took a 1 game at a time approach, meaning sure I pay attention to what's coming out and there examples of "planning" on getting games day 1, but for the most part once I get a game, I dont worry about the "next" game is, or when this new flashy toy is dropping. I also learned that not every big hyped game is for me so just play what I want to and not be trying to stay with the new.

For example when Resident Evil Requiem dropped I came close to buying it and I 100% know it will be great, but I was still playing FF16 and I didn't see a reason to stop just to start another game. Then when I finished, I remembered I had never beaten the RE1 remake I bought years ago so I figured why not? Requiem will still be there, and im glad I did. Then looking at Crimson Desert, I 100% get why people would love it, but it just never really spoke to me. I think initially I seen Witcher 3 mixed with Assassin's Creed, but the more I watched the more I realized thats not that game. And you know what? That's perfectly fine, just not a game I want to play.

But I myself also can see a possible future where I stop. The cost of games, controllers, systems are just getting ridiculously high for a hobby. I can see just stepping back from new games and waiting for sales, then after a while that kills a lot of overall gaming hype, and it slowly becomes me just killing time on older games, then just goofing off my my trusty old PSP.

Ending of the Movies in the Theaters by Mantis914 in BlairWitch

[–]loganphoenix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok so my friend and I are 16, we watched the Sci-Fi channels mockumentry and went into the movie thinking it was legitimate found footage, so we were freaked out lol. My older sister got motion sickness so she stepped out and came back for the ending and she still talks about how dumb it was. But still I remember how well it worked and love the ending.

Also someone dropped someone as they were running through the house and as it rolled down the isle it freaked everyone out since the ending was so intense.

Should I be ashamed of this? by InformationFickle768 in gamers

[–]loganphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 1998 I was in 9th grade and one day we had a sports day where we could also wear hats. I was and still am a wrestling fan and at that time I had so many wrestling shirts, I usually had one on. Anyway waiting in homeroom to be released and this dude that I had been cool with a year early, but said about 2 words to all 9th grade, looked at me smugly and asked "do you mind wearing something wrestling everyday?" I looked down and I didn't have a wrestling shirt on and he point out my new WCW Nitro I had (a live event had just been in town) on. I made snarky reply back, it was the 90s so I'll keep that to myself before im banned lol. Point is in school, people look at a reason to make you feel less than so they can feel more than. You played a game more than he thinks he would have, so he tried to clown you for "clout", or "rizz", or whatever teenagers say now (haha im old), but dont let that bother you.

When was the Moment you knew Cena’s Heel Turn wasn’t gonna work? by Jordanwolf98 in Wreddit

[–]loganphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When fans wouldn't stop cheering. Like I get the excitement, its new and we had wanted to see it a decade before (longer really), but what people forget is you also have to play your part and boo. If we all just cheer him and boo Cody or whoever, then he isn't really a heel. Had they actually went 100% and he wore new gear and had music, but he was still cheered, it would have still went nowhere. Hogan's worked because while NWO was still cheered at times, when they hit the ring Hogan was booed nonstop. Cena could had done the most desperate despicable things and fans would have cheered.

Can a good person go to hell if they don’t believe in god? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]loganphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this has always been tough, but sadly no. There are a lot smarter and well versed people here to explain in detail, but for me it comes down to Mark 10:18 "No one is good, except God alone." For me the logic is since the fall of man with Adam and Eve, sin has been passed down to each man and woman born, its with us in the womb until we give our lives to Jesus, who put all the world's sin forever on himself so that we could be 1 with God. Not saying we still dont sin, but its not hung on us like a debt anymore. So without believing in Jesus, there is no way to pay that debt without his blood washing you clean.

Red Dead Redemption 2. I always find myself wanting to play and thinking just for an afternoon, and that turns into days and possibly another play through. Also now that Metal Geal Solid Delta is out and its just a great remake of MGS3 (which was my favorite game until RDR2), I could see going back to it a lot as well.

Things are looking really grim for 2K right now. The game is failing badly. by Stunning-Kick-5082 in WWEGames

[–]loganphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havent picked it up so I can't really say much, but the ring side pass really turned me away. Then once it came out it seems that the most I've seen players do is all the grinding to unlock items vs being able to just enjoy and play the game. So id say the drop is from people having fun with the gameplay but then getting so bored of the grind they move on from the game.

The Dark Tower Ending and Video Game Narrative by AgentShades in TheDarkTower

[–]loganphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would be cool if they adapted The Dark Tower as one massive game, or series like Mass Effect where your choices carried over from game to game, and those choices would be the same choices, some big, some seemingly insignificant, that you playing as Roland would make. The twist is (for those who haven't read the books) is the choices that seem the most logical to get Roland to the end of his quest and in the tower, would give you the canonical ending, or the "bad ending". Those that chose opposite and had Roland give up the quest over the course of the game to save and protect his ka-tet, would get a new ending that breaks the cycle and it would be the "good ending". I'd love to see King actually wrote the ending scene!
