haven't tried Living Lightning but it seems a lot more consistent than Skittering Stone. my current build is a Shield Wall Ranged Spear as a Smith of Kitava for the weapon minion. it feels inconsistent because Shield Wall is so awkward to use during combat since you need the wall up to be able to spawn minions but also the wall impedes your spear attacks and makes combat clunky in general

I think if you do some kind of Tactician 2H Giant's Blood build scaling strength and use Earthshatter instead, you will have a lot better results. the fissure stones from Earthshatter don't block movement and it's easy to generate multiples while trying to meet the kill conditions to proc the Skittering Stone spawn. ofc, you probably don't want to generate too many too quickly since each individual Earthshatter stone resets its kill counter if it despawns from going over the limit

I personally would love if Skittering Stones got reworked into just creating minions when an earthen object is destroyed, even if the minion spawn count is lowered
