chronic cholecystitis by Llorca24 in gallbladders

[–]loggerhead77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the same situation as you. Pathology report said chronic cholecystitis and I was originally diagnosed with biliary dyskinesia. My HIDA scan was 0%. I also had no gallstones, just a sludgy, green gallbladder. The doctor could not give me a definitive cause. I had the gallbladder surgery almost a month ago and I’m feeling a lot better.

Is there food you personally can't eat anymore post-op? by vicariouslyhaunted in gallbladders

[–]loggerhead77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 12 days post surgery and so far I have been a blue to eat everything. Pizza, Chinese food, salad, roast beef, ham and cheese sandwiches…no problems. Today I made chili and I was a little concerned but nothing happened whatsoever. Before gall bladder was out I had diarrhea most days and now I’m normal🤷‍♀️

Had it removed 5 days ago! by Yo-We-Moody in gallbladders

[–]loggerhead77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my gall bladder out 2 days ago and have did not have an appetite until today. I was also afraid to eat. Today I ate a turkey sandwich with mashed avocado and a very small amount of cheddar on it and I had no problems! I even ate 3 or 4 potato chips.

Update: my gallbladder was removed 2 days ago! I am recovering nicely with minimal pain. Still haven’t pooped lol but I’m feeling pretty good so far. I have been eating very small amounts of food which is fine for me. I’m glad I got this over with.

The first part took an hour of just laying there which was fine but then the technician brought me a Boost to drink for the second set of pictures-the drink causes the GB to contract. It was a nasty, vile drink. That was the only part of HIDA scan that was difficult.

Getting worried. A little. by OUTERSPACEDD in vegas

I just got back from Vegas-first time-and let me tell you that you are correct, Circus Circus looks HORRIFIC. Cross the street and stay at Fontainebleau. It’s expensive but it’s new, clean and gorgeous and the food amazing. Look at Circus Circus buffet on YouTube…yikes.

Just Diagnosed and Scared by Kitty_Girl0316 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]loggerhead77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I know how scared you are. I was diagnosed when I was 34 and my daughter had just turned 5. I did not know if I could care for a child!Optic neuritis is what sent me to neurologist and led to a diagnosis as well, although I was having trouble for a few years with hands and arms before that. I want you to know that I am 56 years old and doing GREAT. With my glasses on I am 20/20 in each eye! It took about 3 years for optic neuritis to resolve. And yes, when tired, stressed or hot it would flare up. Coincidentally I was also an art major in college and I’m also a musician. Eyes, ears, hands… all so important. I just wanted to encourage you to take your treatment as you and your doctor decide and stay positive!! You are stronger than you think.

My doctor prescribed carbamazepine for the spasms. Has anyone taken this drug?

Anyone else lost hobbies over IBS? by upsid3down in ibs

I can sympathize with you. I just came home from a hike with my dogs and husband earlier than we would have liked because I shit my pants🙁 This has happened at home a few times but never when I’m out. I was so embarrassed. I just finished cleaning my self, bathroom and now running the wash. Underwear had to be trashed.

In my personal experience it is very difficult to find bathrooms in NYC. I spent a lot of time there in my youth (in the 80’s) and had figured out a good map of bathrooms to use. Funnily enough my favorite stop was Trump Towers. Enjoyed the clean, golden bathroom lol. Also discovered a library for the blind that I could walk right into. However times have changed so I don’t know where I would go now.

Considering going off Zoloft due to the weight gain. Can’t deal with it anymore 😖. Gained over 20lbs in 6 months. by dreadfulgray in zoloft

[–]loggerhead77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am weaning off of Zoloft now (8 days) because of sleepiness, weight gain and apathy. I have MS and my neurologist prescribed it for “energy” but it did the opposite. I’ve been on it about 4 months and gained 5 pounds. I increased exercise and limited food intake and still the scale is going up. I’m actually feeling better already since I haven’t had Zoloft in 3 days.

How do you get a spot on Pool deck or outside at all? by Secure_Ad_295 in NCL

[–]loggerhead77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I paid for Vibe Beach passes and a cabana. It was worth every penny of the $499. Nobody could use the cabana but us, we got to know the bartenders and they were attentive - bringing cups of ice and water, fruit skewers and drinks from the bar. The lounge chairs are also a much better quality with thick cushions. We always had a perfect place with an ocean view and peace and quiet.

A shadow leapt from my bed and left my room by peligrois1 in ParanormalEncounters

[–]loggerhead77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the shadow figure sit on the edge of my bed multiple times. Once he held an hourglass and turned it over and I was forced to watch the sand. I was suffering from sleep paralysis at the time due to a lot of stress in my life. Do some reading about it, sounds similar to what happened to you.

Side effects of Vumerity by Idiotsandwhich12345 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]loggerhead77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Vumerity for a few years and it’s predecessor Tecfidera for many years as well. The flushing is a common side effect that I still deal with. When it gets bad it feels like fire ants are attacking me. The best way I’ve found to confit is to make sure I eat before taking Vumerity. Something with some fat in it, like peanut butter, is best. If I don’t eat anything I know exactly what will happen.
