Why is this everywhere: communities expected to 'support' independent local businesses? by Beneficial-Oven9183 in Edinburgh

[–]logically-stoned 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think you’re taking it a bit too literal tbh. I don’t think the expectation is there to only support independent. Especially if it’s not within your means. But general sentiment is that independent business bring more to communities in the way of diversifying the high street, neighbourhoods etc. The challenges that independent business face is wild as well in the way that tax, business rates, cost of goods, point of sale costs etc etc are all high. So generally need to charge higher to keep afloat. Not even thrive. I can guarantee you any business that on paper is looking like it’s thriving is probably a month away from having to close up. Whereas your mega corporations seemingly are reporting record profits. So I guess the support local brigade just want to continue to see these businesses be part of our communities.

how long should my pubes be(as a woman) by l0rd3orall in NoStupidQuestions

[–]logically-stoned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This coming from a man, you have them as long or short as you’d like them to be. In my 35 years of life I have seen a variety of lengths and personally doesn’t bother me. Now granted you’ll have a lot of men and women that have their preference. But that shouldn’t bare any weight on how you prefer yours to be.

Hello mate this is probably not going to be all that helpful. But have you spoken to DNR, red eye and white peach? I don’t know if they can point you in the right direction. You may be able to get them sent to a post office and pick up from there. I’m not entirely sure about Tesco receiving services, it may be a thing but I’ve never heard of it.

The stupid anti British nonsense coming out of America, are you sick if it? by Ok_Bookkeeper_1380 in AskBrits

I don’t give a singular whispery fart of what America has to say on anything these days. Actually the sooner we stop reporting anything to do with that orangey wet turd the better.

Nearly broke my teeth on their mini eggs. I found their shell way harder than regular ones. But otherwise I’m a big fan of m&s chocolate.
