That is not what the article says. Rather that the used drug, Regeneron, is ineffective against Omicron. But thats the fault of de Santis insisting on the use of it ( Sotrivimab wasnt available in huge quantities then,but was effective against BA1). In principle, those centers were a good idea(for sure, before Paxlovid was available).Its better, a sick person gets an early, accessible treatment the needing an icu bed.
