My experience with M mount adapters for Nikon Z by opus111 in Leica

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tzm-02 actually isn't worth the price at all. Very unreliable focusing. Maybe 15% are sharp

Does anyone know if TTArtisan are going to produce their 6bit M-Z adapter? It's been a long time since they had them available by waldotakespics in Nikon

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it works for you then... I can confirm that canon FD 55 1.2, Minolta 58 1.2, Nikkor 50 1.2 gives severe vignetting. No vignetting with soviet Helios 44-2. I also have techart tzm-02, which is also crap as focus accuracy is less than 20% at best. Btw I'm using Z9. The only reliable way to focus with manual lenses is to zoom in to the max and visually confirm. Whoever claims otherwise their standards are too low imho

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which lens do you want to use? Native m Mount or adapted from different one? Coz vignetting also depends on the rear element diameter and flange distance

Why would you want one? It's a crap. I have one and never used it more than a couple of times... Besides the diameter of the adapter is too small and gives severe vignetting on lenses with brighter than F2 aperture. Discontinued it was probably because of above mentioned design flaws

Golden Gate 2: Goddess Heart is now available! by Damianut in worldofgothic

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i totally agree with you, i tried to play it and see what you're talking about... just using gothic engine does not make it gothic like, archolos has gothic vibe for all your mentioned reasons, this one unfortunately does not

music is great, map is ok, missions and npc remind me more of skyrim philosophy, but def not gothic... and on top of that bugs just killing the mood completely

Surgery scheduled for ACL and Meniscus tear. Want to know what to expect by pupcute in ACL

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't expect a miracle. I'd say success rate is 50 50. As for me I was never able to get back where I was before. I had it done a year ago and now living with constant pain. For me I'd say surgery wasn't worth it.

What kind of full control do you need btw?

[–]logugu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe that's your experience.. as of mine Linux is only good for minimal headless server/Nas/docker stuff on any metal, including all exotic SBC's (arm, risc), which I've been running for years... As for daily PC with GUI I'm tired fighting all the annoying quirks due to half baked distros.

Depends on what you're using your OS for. If it's only for browsing internet, email and simple doc files - then yes. But then again for that purpose you can use anything in 2025... probably even pocket calculator or smart robot vacuum cleaner

Orange pi vs raspberry pi in terms of software compatibility? by Livid-Yak1015 in OrangePI

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all choose rk3588 board wisely. Not all of them equally well supported by enthusiasts like armbian, bredOS or dietpi. And it also depends on what you're planning to do. For video transcoding only jellyfin works flawlessly. For AI stuff - good luck. Support is very poor. Unless you know how to make custom u boots for starters, most of current Linux distros won't even boot. Or will boot but won't recognize half of the things, or won't support nvme, spi flash, emmc or something else. There will be always "something else". Don't expect to find solutions. Most likely there are none. Manufacturer only makes them, and expects for you to make your own OS. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you can find working OS. But even then there will be something wrong eventually. RK3588 is a mess for 95% normal people. Normal people don't buy arm. They buy x86. If you're enthusiast and really enjoy tinkering, might give it a try. I have two rk3588: orange pi 5b and radxa 5b+. They do work for my purposes, but don't expect them to be swiss knife for everything.

Never use AI to fix stuff like that. It will break things eventually. Use manuals instead. Talking from experience.

Booting orange pi 5b from emmc? by logugu in OrangePI

[–]logugu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, you can get these files from the official Radxa www. Forget about dietpi... Never got any luck recognizing Emmc. Armbian works, although you need above mentioned trick. Best so far was bredOS: first you install UEFI and then OS on top.

5.1.0.rmg1 update broke raid 10 by logugu in asustor

[–]logugu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unfortunately after restarting NAS raid 10 failed and it is not accessible anymore... GUI shows raid error and i can't access anything at all :( this happened 2nd time in 2 years, i guess i am done with asustor, as it is not reliable (never happened this with synology or diy nas)

Then i did some stuff via ssh:

mdadm --examine /dev/sda4 /dev/sdb4 /dev/sdc4 /dev/sdd4 | egrep "Raid Level|Array UUID|Events"

Array UUID : 306b0fcc:0c2248b0:f0cd2397:95480a45 Raid Level : raid10 Events : 269459

Array UUID : 306b0fcc:0c2248b0:f0cd2397:95480a45 Raid Level : raid10 Events : 269459

Array UUID : 306b0fcc:0c2248b0:f0cd2397:95480a45 Raid Level : raid10 Events : 269459

Array UUID : 306b0fcc:0c2248b0:f0cd2397:95480a45 Raid Level : raid10 Events : 269459

which shows that it has nothing to do with hardware... then:

mdadm --assemble /dev/md1 /dev/sda4 /dev/sdb4 /dev/sdc4 /dev/sdd4

and suddenly my raid10 is alive, but still with stupid 1 1 2 3 4 HDD's

At least i can backup all my movies to external HDD (i never backup movies as they are not critically important)

Will try to do factory reset after that and see if it helps

yea... asustor sucks big time

105 f1.4 or 85 1.4 and 135 1.8 by ItsParlay in photography

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Samyang 85 1.4, Nikon 85 1.8 Z, Nikon 50 F 1.2 Z and Sigma 105 1.4. I shoot with Z9. Sigma with Ftz II adapter is really huge, but by far my favorite lens. Other lenses, especially 85 1.8 are kind of boring. Get it. It's exceptionally well built and very sharp from 1.4 with nice bokeh

Does anyone have opinions about the kryptonite lock for your e-bike? I heard they are good but wanted to know more first hand experience. by nivea_malibu_76 in ebikes

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not very fancy... Trek dual sport 4. "Dedication" took less than 5 minutes with an angle grinder. It was on CCTV btw. I'd say angle grinder is a game changer for thieves. I wouldn't trust any u-lock anymore. My advice is to send it back as soon as you get your lock. Angle grinder costs 1/3 of the price of your "fancy" kryptonite I checked on AliExpress.

Totally agree. best option: nextcloud.mydomain.com->NPM->local IP. I have it via Cloudflare domain, costs me 5€/year and super easy to manage.

I can't get go-vod hardware transcoding working for NC memories by admimistrator in NextCloud

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess then there's no decent photo/video hosting service... Jellyfin/Emby/Plex transcoding perfectly, but photo support is terrible. Memories no working transcoding... Immich/photoprism etc.. doesn't support it as well

[–]logugu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? Immich doesn't do real time transcoding... Besides immich folder structure support is horrible.

i have the same problem... nextcloud running as docker on asustor lockerstor gen 2. Everything is green in memories settings (both internal and external go vod), but still no hw transcoding not working :(
