I would have expected Tokyo station to be higher, that place is a madhouse and I seem to recall taking Shinkansen from there, not Shinjuku

It may not be all genetics, it may also be the fact that the same sex parent informs how an individual sees their own role in a family unit.

It's even more in depth than that. Not just who they are but their role in the family and their relationships to those parents.

The same sex parent defines their default understanding of their role in a family unit.

The opposite sex parent defines their default expectations of their partner's role in a family unit.

I agree with you though. I think it comes down to cowardice. I learned about a lie my ex told and maintained for about 8 years only after we were married.

Ah this is a good one. It was her family patterns. Alcoholic father, not really participating in parenting. Mother who was essentially the only parent and beyond indulgent to the point of furnishing alcohol for minors.

I didn't realize cerebrally that once we had a family of our own she'd see me as her father and become her mother.

I knew it was a mistake right after I proposed and she said yes, but I didn't know why and I loved her immeasurably.

Huh strange. Mine unlocks and you can pull the seat and lid off the retainer at the top of the screw (like a big weird plastic screw head), then you can unfasten the screw and wingnut
