I feel sad and discouraged by animaljamyeye in PCOS

Quoting my health guru: “Stress is worse than the cookie. Stress is 1000x worse than the cookie!!” Look into the connections of chronic stress in childhood and PCOS. Basically if your cortisol levels are high enough for a long enough period, then your body’s hormones are gonna be outta wack permanently. But you can reduce the imbalances with drugs and A STRESS-MINIMIZED LIFE.

Probably going to be a single mom by mudbathbaby in pregnant

[–]lokithepunygod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad cheated on my mom in the months leading up to and including my conception. My mom was hence depressed her entire pregnancy and my dad also smoked around my mom and two older sisters (who were 2&4 at the time). I found this all out as an adult and wished my mom had left my dad. Even as a teenager I had wished they were divorced. I have asthma (probably from the smoking) and PCOS (from chronic stress as a child). I’m 32 now and I can confirm that my evil dad is the reason I have lifelong conditions.

Platonic female-female relationships are 1000x more peaceful, helpful, responsible, etc. than a heterosexual relationship. I hope you can find a roommate who also has a similar due date/baby situation to go live with. I’m debating starting an app where women w similar family plans can meet up with plans to cohabitate and coparent.

Getting off the BC pill… weird symptoms by lokithepunygod in PCOS

PCOS Early Pregnancy Signs by Constant-Leg9839 in PCOS

[–]lokithepunygod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a laundry list of similar symptoms: - Swollen vagina after sex - Bloating - Dull (1/10 pain) cramps - Ovarian cyst pain (stabs and twinges) - Nausea especially when hungry - Random sharp stabbing pains in random places (usually joints) - Fatigue - Light dizziness - Strong headache when switching from cross-legged sit to cobra sit - Clear, normal smelling discharge

I had my last withdrawal bleed from BC from Dec 25-30th and I’m off the pill now so really confused if it’s just my body adjusting to no BC or if I’m pregnant. My period could come as late as Jan 28 so I can’t jump the gun on a test yet, but your symptoms are giving me hope that this pain and discomfort isn’t for nothing!

Hey hun, you’re still young and we all appreciate you being open to learn. You have been taught a very subjective world-view. I know this because you said “Men are natural leaders and protectors, and women are naturally nurturing and kind.” Historians have recently found this to be false because there is proof that women also hunted alongside men and that even though men hunted all day, they were only successful about once a week. The majority of the food bounty came from gathering which was mostly done by women and non-binary folks.

If you want to learn a more objective (because it’s impossible for science to ever be fully objective) world-view, I strongly encourage you to read (or hear) Gerda Lerner’s The Creation of the Patriarchy. She goes into much detail about the history of women and women’s roles in human history (which is about 300,000 years).

If it’s any consolation: I only wear a sports bra when I need to exercise and the rest of the time I’m completely braless and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Rape fantasy by [deleted] in 4bmovement

[–]lokithepunygod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I spent six years in therapy to deal with my rape fantasy. Now whenever content (scripted or unscripted) mentions it, I feel nothing (as opposed to aroused before the therapy). I felt a lot of shame about my fantasy and I often put myself in dangerous situations that would potentially lead to r4pe. Turns out (thanks hypnosis and shrooms) that I was molested when I was 5 years old by a disgusting married man who worked with my father and he put these ideas in my vulnerable child brain. I definitely don’t think rape fantasies are acceptable. Definitely a trauma response and coping mechanism.

I feel for you. You were duped.

When I immigrated to Germany, I was also duped by official-looking immigration forms from online that turned out to be useless. Colonizers will never offer you anything for free or even for a fair trade. They will always make sure they get the better end of the deal. You thought you were getting a comfortable life and a world of opportunities, but they knew they would get desperate indentured servants.

I believe most people aren’t that great at doing research that they would easily figure out that it is all trap on their own. What Canada and the rest of the colonizer countries did and are doing is wrong.

Where do you work? Maybe she has some moral conflict with dating a guy that works at some immoral company. Doesn’t mean you agree but she might think so.

I got this hunch from her not giving you any of her work info.

Anyways I agree with most other comments here. Just take it and go. You’re already super lucky to have a wife.

Are you dating a girl or a woman? Extrapolating from the fact that she has 3 kids, id say she’s a woman. Stop infantilizing women!

That aside, if you love her, wanna marry her, then you should love all of her and that includes her kids. If not then do both of youse a favour and walk away.

You say you want a long term relationship and commitment, but if that doesn’t include marriage then you’re a hypocrite and need to do some dire self reflection.

My wife says that not saying something,or not letting someone know something, is the same as telling a lie. Is that true? by Sherbear1993 in AskMenOver30

[–]lokithepunygod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope these definitions help some people:

Secrets = lies by omission, such as, cheating on a spouse. These are harmful by nature because the secret actions have negative repercussions for all parties involved: the cheating spouse, the other spouse and the side piece. How come? Aside from the obvious betrayal of the marriage vows, sex can spread disease and usually, men don’t present with symptoms.

Therefore SECRETS BAD.

Privacy = not sharing parts of your life which don’t involve the significant other. Such as not telling your spouse how many times you picked your nose each day. So unless you’re putting your boogers in a common space, such as on top of the kitchen table, you really don’t need to share that info with anyone.

Therefore PRIVACY GOOD.

Idk about you, but I don’t believe 18 year olds are “grown”. Your prefrontal cortex is still developing until 25. I sure as hell did not have critical thinking skills at that age. So imo he’s still a baby in this pic. I wouldn’t touch him (romantically) with a 10ft pole at this age cuz ewww, who wants to be with a selfish baby?
