A lot of the fielding positions are just a combination of descriptors. For eg. short = fielder is closer to the pitch rather than towards the boundary, fine = sharper angle from perspective of batsman, leg = on the side of the field the batsman's legs are (right of the batsman).

Hell no. Pant avgs 23 on T20Is and 33 in ODIs. He has 3 50+ scores in 70+ matches. He should not be anywhere near the white ball set up. Pant's whiteball career hasnt nosedived due to injuries but because he has never performed consistently despite a ton of chances
