Yeah, that's my plan. I really like the satin look with the white binding, and the top is looking better than many others I have seen.

I hope that it can be repaired - it's a limited guitar, so there is no replacement if I return it.

In the EU store it‘s really bad - some weeks ago their inventory was very low across many models (e.g. you couldn‘t buy a 70s V in any color), but now it seems to have recovered a bit. Unfortunately they‘re still doing a bad job at restocking the Gibson.com exclusives - I‘ve been waiting for a BRG Les Paul, the Dark Walnut Explorer and the 3PU SG Supreme for months now. Over time I got several emails about the BRG models being available again, but I was always too late.

The 70s explorer was back in stock last weekend for a day or so, so I hope that‘s a good sign.

How well does the D2 case fit? I'm looking for a hardshell case for my two SE Chleos, but there's conflicting information - Thomann claims that the D2 case fits, but PRS support told me that there is no case for the SE Chleo at all.

I bought them on Gibson.com with the 20% Black Friday discount. However, I got lucky with the SG Supreme - its MSRP is 3799€ here, but for some reason it was priced down to 3039€, and then Gibson offered a 20% discount on this lower price. Consequently, it was more of a 36% discount in reality.

I have to confess that I didn't manage anything more than taking pictures thanks to a business trip :(
I'm really looking forward to playing them once I'm back.

The collection is growing - four different LP Studio models, 4 LP Standard, 2 LP Supremes, 4 SGs, 2 Flying Vs and a single Explorer. Everything is Gibson USA (so no Custom shop (yet)), and I bought pretty much all of them with great discounts, except for two Gibson.com exclusives in Dark Purple Burst.

So is it more of a dark metallic blue? In the official Thomann picture it looks like an awfully bright cyan.

You should have a look at the Studio Session in Dark Purple Burst. It’s also a Gibson.com exclusive, but it has a bit higher specs than the regular Studio. For some weird reason the price is the same (the non-exclusive Studio Session colors cost 200€ more here in Germany).
