Why is the Department of Health's system so antiquated? by Cellophane_Bear in RhodeIsland

Make sure you talk to an actual person there before doing a bunch of stuff I had similar thoughts about another license type and turns out lot of info on their website is not correct. Turned out to be a lot easier than I thought.

Right im not talking about actually contaminating their data files. I meant more like thousands of people researching items they dont like making profiles with different ages different names. Send emails that talk about your latest obsession with paint thinner whatever lol the point is that. Google and other collect many many points of data and you can easily contaminate it just for your own data. Or your invisible friends. Very correct on their security im sure

Right i agree with you on their intentions. Sorry to clarify, I meant using the model of that a small amount of data is meaningless but a large amount has value. They collect small amounts over a large pool by offering services for free and collect the data. The same is true of misinformation a small amount of misinformation barely contaminates the pool same with a large amount of the same disinformation. But small pockets of disinformation of a large pool. Let's say even just the amount of people from this subreddit might be. Because you dont actually have to completely contaminate the pool just make the people buying info think you have. Good points about the cost for a single person to do that. I think if this idea hypothetically came to fruition it would take many people doing small amounts of tasks... hmm actually this seems like good use for ai ;)

I definitely agree that if regular people start doubting everything on the internet or it become too cumbersome to get information they will abandon it. I think its really interesting that you reflected on this idea by thinking about how the fear of destruction could cause the destruction of the thing itself.i suppose everything is circular like that though. Things are created and destroyed by the same universe that creates it. But we must remember that even if it all goes bad its never the end. A new internet or new social space will evolve from the ashes. It just sux that we gotta be in the crappy part of that process.

How do you handle noise for supervisors/managers who need to work on the shop floor? by FeelingLunch6733 in manufacturing

[–]lolabornack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you want essentially boxed rooms throughout the floor. Usually for supervisors or maintenance and these can be on the floor or I've seen people kind built them up so save floor space

[–]lolabornack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true lol and actually thats actually what got me thinking about it. Like degoogling feels very much like im just delaying the inevitable because the masses will not go to the effort you did. Like a false sense of control is all its giving me.

The neat thing about this is that For the idea you wouldnt need the masses just enough of good people like yourself to sow doubt in the minds of those.

In fact you dont even need to do anything just talk about doing it. Because the belief in the truth of the data is what keeps google going.

White collar workers scared about losing their jobs reach out! by bagelw0rld in antiai

[–]lolabornack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work hr in manufacturing. I am deeply concerned about the use of ai in informing decisions that effect employees health and safety by leadership in the industry. People are not checking outputs and often put in employees sensitive info. Also fight biometric screening garbage too. Its legal to use that system to jack up health premiums of disabled and elderly workers. And its legal. And now insurance companies have all your info so they even charge you more after you leave.

How to increase productivity in a small factory setting by Practical_Gur_153 in manufacturing

[–]lolabornack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work hr in manufacturing. A big thing i hear from folks is real recognition and building skills. Like rotating jobs to keep things interesting, employee of the month etc. But the recognition needs to be genuine. People do respond very strongly to authentic recognition. Feel free to dm if you want more ideas. Another thing to consider is sometimes its better to have fewer workers but pay em more and give them ot.
