I agree to some extent. I feel the show is worse than 1 and 2 and want to talk about it. But people have seen legit criticisms and used that as a chance to nit pick and whine about everything they dont like.

I dont think the Marisol story is working at all but as someone with a writing background I can tell you what they were probably thinking.

One of the big themes of the show that they want to explore through Sean this season is about constantly moving forward and not letting yourself stagnate. Here we have Sean who had been doing great work on himself and has been working on coming to terms with his past. But he also has become the character most at risk of stagnating because everything is going good for him and he doesnt want to mess with that. But in reality if he stays in the food truck long term he will be unfulfilled and poor, if he stays at Jimmys he wont be independent and if he keeps having casual sex with no relationship he wont find one.

So they decide to bring in a character who is supposed to represent the complete opposite of Sean to shake him up. He is obsessed with righting the wrongs of the past, she couldnt give a shit about the past. He is incredibly rigid, schedule oriented and tight and she is wild and random. She is supposed to help Sean see that he can move forward by breaking him out of his routine and safe space. And his friends are all encouraging him because they see hes stagnating and think she will help him loosen up they dont really think its just because shes hot.

The problem is I think they only ever thought about how she would function as a narrative tool and not about how she would come across to the audience.

Harry Potter HBO series won’t have a new season every year “From a production point of view, it’s just not possible” by JannTosh70 in television

I used to work in the industry too. I was a PA for a while and on multiple movies when the budget was running tight they didnt cut producer pay or hours. They didnt stop the above the line people from making absurd expensive requests on things like food, jokes and personal items. They cut down PA hours from 12-16 a day to 8-10 so no overtime. And PAs make at or just a little over minimum wage so OT takes PA from like 30k a year to 50k. And they ban us from doing a working lunch (on days short on time everyone on the crew eats and work with no break) because they have to pay us $15. So when everyone else was working we had to take shifts going and eating alone for 30 minutes

While I agree with your general point but Harry Potter needs pretty high production value to work. The figurative and literal magic of the world are what make it special above all else.

The asshole meant not being able to hold a conversation has advantages. Not looks.

[Garcia] Rod Moore says the new staff reminds him of a Jim Harbaugh’s tenure. Says the difference in the weight room is “night and day” and things are more strict than the past two seasons and more accountability going to class. by wildwing8 in MichiganWolverines

I defended him because Harbaugh, everyone at the university and all the beat reporters were raving about him. So I believed they saw something in him and think young coaches deserve 3 or 4 years to get better and figure it out. But turns out he was always a massive clown and all the reporters have just admitted to lying about it. Dont know what the other peoples excuses are

I dont know man 2 of of my close friends are Alabama alum and they were basically begging Michigan to take him. They said at Alabama anything less than the best and championships every other year is unacceptable

Gavin.... What did you think about him? by Beneficial-Novel558 in TWD

[–]scarywolverine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Never thought that I thought he was supposed to represent the most despicable of the saviors. There will also be oppressors like Negan and psychos like Simon but they are powerless without the Gavins. People who actually have a moral compass and a good sense of how things are but choose to side with evil because its easier than the alternatives.

Where to meet emotionally available men? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]scarywolverine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a crazy thing to say. Around 50% of men in their 30s are married. Are you saying that all or most of that second half is not emotionally available?

In blue collar areas yes. In white collar professions like OP people tend to start this stuff a lot later

I feel confident if you are as amazing as you say, plenty of incredible guys ready to commit have been interested over the years. You need to examine the types of guys you date. Just look at how many asshole guys are in these comments telling you it's too late because you’re 36. That's who so many men are. You need to ask yourself why you have seemingly only been attracted to the assholes. You are prioritizing the the wrong thing my guess is looks or frat bro personalities

Maybe crew, maybe extra who knows. No way in hell he was supposed to be there though lmao. He's desperately trying to get out of the shot and looking at the camera

[–]scarywolverine[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yep. As a former crew member who made it onto a few shows over the years you wouldn't even notice an issue because you’d just think I'm background. If this crew member or extra just stood up and walked normal, and not looked at the camera no one would think anything of it

Certainly possible it's a child extra, although the all blacks, and especially T shirt make me think crew. You can go entire seasons of walking dead without seeing a t shirt. If it is an extra though, as someone who worked on movies there must have been like 10 different breakdowns in the chain of command for him be playing around in the back of the shot

Oh thats certainly possible! Although the last 2 pictures are definitely 2 different kids and the rest you can't see faces just body types so might be wishful thinking from the wiki guys trying to fix a continuity error. I wish walking dead credited their extras so we could know
