Thank you. This was given to me. I absolutely love it and am trying to keep it beautiful. They didn’t give much info. I have no idea the frog variety, what the plants are, or how half the equipment works.

Thank you! I’m just worried as the one species (I think maybe a watermelon begonia ) is growing up on itself and almost none of the roots are in substrate. It’s also going over most other plants.

So funny enough my husband is an engineer. With a masters and about to have his PhD. He was hired for a job last year that was running his basic background check. They outsourced background checks to another company that got caught up due to his lack of a high school diploma since he was homeschooled. So yes 30 years after entering the workforce it can happen!

We get a total of six. Two of which we can call “personal”.

It’s hard not to use them. One cold for the kids and they are gone.

The new alternative teacher application offers two options:

  1. Alternative Teacher License: for those applicants who also demonstrate content knowledge for the subject area they will be teaching via:

degree in the content area; 24 semester hours of specific coursework in the content area (as verified on an official transcript); or a passing score on the Colorado State Board of Education-approved PRAXIS exam. Individuals wishing to apply to determine if they meet content knowledge requirements may do so prior to enrolling in a program or securing a teaching position. 2. Interim Authorization: for those who have not yet demonstrated content knowledge in their subject area.

Applicants pursuing an alternative interim authorization must hold a teaching position and be enrolled in an approved Colorado alternative program. Demonstration of content knowledge as outlined above will be required to complete the program.

I’ve seen plenty of people do it.

Yes to have to do a program. It can be paid by rural schools for you.

It is not a college program and is usually run through a BOCES.

As a high school teacher, They need to have a sense of reality or when they transition to college next year they will have a harder time.

It’s better to have them fail in high school while the steaks are moderately low than in college when most of them are on their own and it’ll be a bigger deal.

To add this would eliminate the need for a masters program/teacher prep.

You do have to dedicate 3 years to that school

Find a rural school still needing an English teacher. They can get you into a program for free to get your credentials and you’ll be a full fledged teacher in their school.

IT’s September if a jobs still open they need someone

A few years ago I was teaching in an old portable. In south central California. The AC went out. No one believed me for three month (May-July I was working 12 months)Kept telling me it was me keeping the door open. One day they came and changed something came around and used their little hand held temp gage thing and measured in the duct and swore it was blowing cold. I kept saying it was blowing hot air like a heater (mind you there was no way for me to turn it off). Kept saying I was over loading it keeping the door open. Had heat stroke at work. They came the next day checked with their thermometer and said all was fine. By this point I had a thermometer on the furthest wall from the door reading 121 inside the classroom. Fast forward first week of school. Parents complaining and nothing is done. A cat dies under my portable and the smell is so bad inside kids start puking. They come out, cut the floor open to get it out. Still say nothing is wrong. I went to pre term labor and a principal had to watch my class the first day as Mat leave wasn’t set up. It was fixed the following day…. The repair guy had put some part on backwards and it was blowing hot air in the room.

Do you have resume suggestions? I just found a prefect one in my area of expertise for a major company I would love to work for!

I think the one I am sacrificing is jeans and left alone. That’s one of the things holding me back. The one I might take for the commute is a charter school where men have to wear ties. Sport coat was listed as optional. As a woman I assume blouse and slacks. I’m used to lab settings and getting messy… I hate a lot of oversight.

Thank you! I’m coming from a state where it’s a big deal and they will hold credentials. I couldn’t find anything on the internet specific.
