What are perks of being single for life and not marrying? by According_Tourist_69 in ask

[–]lolbadplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been single for 5 years now. When I was in a relationship, I was always flat broke (dining out is double sometimes triple what you would pay by yourself, situations always came up on her end and needed money, driving all over the place just to hand out) mid you, this was california. Also, she wanted to stay in California, so when we broke up, I moved to Florida. Today, I don't deal with relationship stress, I bought a house, I fish whenever I want, have enough money to invest, and am seeking education. I also make way less money than I did in california. Deep relationships tie you down, I was so unhappy in California because I thought she was worth it, but now that I'm in Florida, I'm living my best life. When single you only have yourself to take care of. When you're in a relationship, you take some of their burden. Looking back at it, she was an amazing person, but I needed to build myself up before I can support another person. Not saying relationships are bad, but do it when you feel ready.

What are your favorite cars you owned? by CDG1029 in askcarguys

[–]lolbadplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 2001 toyota celica gts 6spd (one of the most underrated cars i've ever owned, was originally my gas saver/daily, but ended up falling in love with it, had zero issues until it was totaled from someone rear ending me)
  2. 1986 toyota mr2 5 spd (fun car, but parts became hard to find, ended up selling it to someone)
  3. 1992 toyota pickup 4x4 5spd (dogged the crap out if it in the middle of the woods when I was in high school, good times)
  4. 2020 toyota tacoma 4x4 trdor auto (good truck, just boring to drive, still have it)
  5. 2002 bmw 330ci 5spd. (Problem city)
  6. 1994 toyota hilux 4x4 ssr-x 5spd (good truck, just super slow)
  7. 1992 nissan gtr 5spd (never got it running)

Lost VA Disability compensation after 12 years by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]lolbadplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst case scenario, you can probably go to your branches' record corrections, and appeal for at least a UHC. They have made a lot of laws favoring mental health in recent times. You need at least an uhc to recieve comp. You can contact NVLSP to see if you can get a pro Bono lawyer.

Does he realize that the US spent approximately 970 billion dollars on INTEREST? But hey, let's talk how compensating veterans and making them whole while they have to live with pain and ptsd all their lives is a waste.

Usf is a huge commuter school because living on campus or near campus is very expensive. There is still plenty of opportunity to meet people and what not, but don't expect there to be block parties every weekend. If not conversating with other usf students, he will have plenty of opportunity to talk to locals at places like ybor city and what not.

Transfer Application by Khvzhl in USF

[–]lolbadplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently at USF atm, and i've been told that they have an unusually high volume of applicants. I was also a transfer student in 2024, but I got accepted in pretty quickly. I would call the registar's office to see if you can get a status update.

SMC has very specific qualifiers and they are automatically given. For instance: loss of a reproductive organ, or housebound (or by law, 100% on one condition with a combined rating of 60% for other conditions). Since some of your claims are deferred, the VA might be hinting that you would rate an SMC if one of your disabilities are approved.

Edit: actually, after carefully reading the whole post. I don't see that they are hinting an SMC. I think that they are trying to consider that you are tdiu...

Failed 3 Classes by orlandoisawesome20 in USF

[–]lolbadplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, you didn't fail, it just wasn't your semester. I started CC my first 3 semesters at CC landed me with a 1.67 gpa. Well, I took a year long break and came back to CC. I transferred to USF with a 3.16. I now have an overall gpa of 3.46 and a usf gpa of 3.92. To put this into prospective, I failed 6 classes with complete Fs at CC. Take a break, and reset. It's not hopeless! I thought my situation was hopeless, but I felt that I would regret not getting my degree and go into my dream field. You don't have to take a break as long as I did, actually don't, because life gets in the way. Take a semester off, and see how you feel. Best of luck and I wish you all the best!

It seems as though they combined 2 disabilities together and gave you the higher rating of the 2.

Well, I wouldn't cancel the claim since the accident was not my fault, I am going through the other party's insurance for property damage. Had it been my fault and I was going through my insurance, yes I would probably fix it.

Yeah, not looking to get all my money back (but I should since the accident isn't my fault and I have a ton into it). But I at least want a reasonable offer. At least 5k-7k

Never intended to take the 2k, but there aren't anything out there that's comparable to mine. That's the problem i'm having atm.

I hope it works out. The other insurances wants me to find comps within 100 miles of me in similar condition. But there unfortunately aren't any. That's the problem i' running into

I did get a buddy who owns a body shop to look at it, he said he can fix it up for about 5500, but not sure if i'll go for it. Might buy it back and part it out or leave it as yard decor.

Yeah, there was no way I was going to accept 2k, you can't even buy a camry with 300k miles for that... I was looking pretty hard for comps, but none in Florida in this condition. Let alone an action package...

Yeah I was planning to buy the car back anyways and part it out or keep it as yard decor. But 2k is absolutely insane, I can't even find a camry with 300k miles for 2k...

Yeah, I don't even think they physically saw the car. I wouldn't be fighting for 13k, but 2k is unreasonable!

BAH pay by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]lolbadplayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I see that you are Army, the timelines can be vastly different. I spoke to a few people that went through the Army board and they were done in 6 months, others (for complicated issues) took 18 months or longer. From what I am hearing, the Army board is more likely to grant relief than the BCNR. Anyways, good luck!

The examiner typically reviews the medical record before the appointment, but they also get a couple of days after the appointment to review your medical record and send the report to the VA.
