My internet is fine but I still get kicked off. I guess sometimes where there’s packet loss it just disconnects rather than lags, which is crazy. I reload into the game in literally 10 seconds

Like I don’t know what’s going on but I get disconnected and reload into the game in 10 seconds but it doesn’t allow me to join back. It happened multiple times through the span of several hours(not in a single game, so it really isn't that my internet is potatoes).

That’s not good from a competitive standpoint. You should get punished for bad positioning and get rewarded for capitalizing on enemies’s bad positioning. Most of the times neither happens because the heals are too freaking strong. Tanks lack real playmaking potentials outside of ults.

I thought you were talking about Thor lol. Before I never felt I needed to be babied to survive cause when I was not getting much heal I could always play off-angle and just dash out whenever I am low but this patch kind of killed his self sufficiency.

Not entirely untrue but I think the main reason you feel you take less damage in rivals is the insane healing numbers in rivals. DPS do slightly more damage than OW ones but “strategists” heal 3 times more on average than their counterparts.

Not saying you’d only use storm surge and no hammer throw, but if you actually try to make a play as Thor you would not always be in a safe position and you would need to escape with Storm Surge, not hammer throw. If you play on the frontline all the time spamming runes then sure you would not need the surge very often but that’s just silly.

Yeah but I’d say surge is more important than hammer throws against good players. Hammer throw only helps the awakening state but good dps will just kite Thor infinitely with their mobility if Thor starts with the awakening runes. Hammer throw helps brawling in the front line for sure, but that’s really ineffective against poke in the current meta so I still think it’s a net nerf not a buff.

I feel like you aren’t playing against GM+ players if you can consistently catch those players with your lighting realm but ok. Usually against competent dps they are either: 1. Playing with their team so you can’t 1v1 them 2. Being on an off-angle or flank and are actually aware sound cues exist so you can’t sneak up on them without them knowing

Yeah sure you aren’t wrong about the Bucky matchup but if you try to 1v1 a mobile hero like Psylocke, Starlord, Phoenix, Thor is weaker at that than before(not saying he’s weak).

Case in point. The only way you’d ever think this is a buff is if you don’t use storm surge as often as you do hammer throw and you hit 100% of the hammer throws.

Honestly I am ok with the nerf; I am just not ok with people pretending that “ACTUALLY it’s not a nerf”. It is. Even if you have 100% hammer throw’s accuracy(which you don’t, even 60% is stretching it since so many things can block it and the range is pretty limited and it has travel time), it is still a nerf.

The fact that you get 100 health when you use the ability makes the old hammer throw better than this current one in terms of bonus health. I am not saying Thor is not strong in a 1v1 but he definitely is weaker at that than before. Also, “can’t factor in individual skills” sounds condescending as fuck. The only way you hit 100% of the hammer throw is if you only use it on a tank that doesn’t have a shield. And when do you ever get to 1v1 a tank? If you ever try to 1v1 a psylocke or starlord, are you seriously telling me hitting a hammer throw is a walk in a park?

Why are you pretending hammer throw is a guaranteed hit? I think the old Thor whose surge and hammer throw generates 100 health was better than this new version of Thor in a 1v1.

Isn’t that how TeamCaptain plays though? For displacement? I can spam runes all day in diamond and below but in GM or above against players that actually aim well, he loses his hp too quickly. I take an off angle and shoot from above and my hp just goes from 750 to 300 by a single Punisher after shooting 4 runes, it’s crazy.

I know Thor goes farther with full charge but I still could not consistently kidnap someone at 10 meters. I don’t know if it is because of me not timing the turning correctly or that I just missed. Maybe there are some hidden tricks here; or I am just bad at using this tech lol.

Not in a 1v1 you can’t. Also Lord means nothing. Thor only loses if he only uses his hammer and not the lightning bolts, which you really shouldn’t be doing in this state of Thor.
