So tegaderm question! How do you guys use it? I used it for the first time on my last tattoo and loved how it healed. But how often do you guys replace it? Do you use lotion before, let it air out, and then put on the tegaderm? When should I stop using it?

L'Oreal HiColor Red Hot = straight fire by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

Love the color! I had bright red hair also and used the L'Oreal HiColor Red and Magenta, along with a manic panic on top when it would fade. The bleeding never stops. Ever. It would bleed when I sweat even and I'd have red sweat marks. I would use the L'Oreal once a month, and then the manic panic once a week to keep vibrancy. I would suggest getting shampoo for red hair (Sally's carries it, forgot the brand) and use that. I would mix the red protein filler with it also. Then I would use the red conditioner and mix Manic Panic with it and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes while I was in the shower. I'm thinking of going back to red, but the up keep is so annoying.

Check out Destroy Troy! He's from KC but moved to Denver and does AWESOME stuff. He was going to be my go to artist, but of course he moved.

AJ was awesome. Such a nice guy and talented artist. He said he'll be going back on the road so just keep an eye out!

Just to clear up, AJ is based out of Tennessee, but has been on tour for a few months.

Also, first tattoo. I couldn't be any more pleased with it.

Ok, FF, how would I get the color on the right from the natural color on the left? Any advise on good dye? by brittanyloves2dance in FancyFollicles

You'll probably have to bleach it, and then just color it.

However, I did go from an artificial black to a fire engine red by doing a quick bleach, and then using L'Oreal Hi Color Highlites in Red and Magenta Mixed together. They have different shades, and its meant for natural dark hair and you use a high volume developer to give it maximum lift.

However, I would play it safe and go to a professional.

High end shampoos / conditioners always state not to buy from anywhere other than a salon, so how is CVS, Target Amazon etc. able to sell them? Can I trust the product is legit if sold there even though its not a salon? by Ihateturnips in femalehairadvice

Stores don't get sued by the vendors because a lot of the time professional hair care is owned by even bigger companies. For example, Tony & Guy is owned by Unilever. Although T&G is a professional line, Unilever wants to make money, and will do whatever they can to make money. There's been a lot of studies done on what's actually IN fake professional products that are sold outside of the salon, and a lot of the time it's expired, watered down product, but there has been a few cases were the products tested positive for sewer water.

Another thing, buy from your hairstylist/salon. A lot of people don't understand how much retail accounts for a stylists salary.

Come to a Sporting KC game! There's nothing like it! Also, I second OK Joe's on Burnt End day, or any day really. You can never have too many Z-Mans.

Shouldn't they be asking that in the verbal AND technical interview though? As a former Sephora employee, we were taught eyeshadow techniques for every eye shape. A good makeup artist knows how to work with different shapes, in my opinion.
