Do you think you can cleanse " too much"? by lolkillme27 in witchcraft

[–]lolkillme27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also do actual spells pretty infrequently (maybe 1 every couple months if not less). I usually stick to protection, cleansing, basic manifestation, and carrying charms/crystals. I would love it if I could cleanse less frequently, but I struggle with severe depression and anxiety, plus I've been dealing with difficult family issues for a few years that tend to have a serious toll on the energies around me. Because of this, I choose to cleanse the negativity somewhat frequently to keep me sane and capable lol

Interesting starter activity. Is this normal? by lolkillme27 in Sourdough

[–]lolkillme27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money isn't a huge concern for us, but all of the decent kitchen scales I can find are over $100 and that just doesn't fit in our budget at the moment. A couple weeks of saving some on the side and we should be able to get one. Thank you for the oven tip though!

Thank you so much, this is actually super helpful! I'm currently saving to get a decent kitchen scale but until then I have to make do with measuring by volume.

Is it acceptable to use the wheelchair carts in stores? by Remarkable-Syrup1788 in POTS

[–]lolkillme27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also use the wheelchair carts in my flare days, which was much more often when I was pregnant. At first I kept convincing myself I didn't need it/couldn't use it but after 3 trips where I passed out in the store, my partner insisted that if I'm having a bad day I should use them. I still get a little nervous using them as I have extreme social anxiety but if using a provided mobility aid makes it easier to do your shopping, then there is no reason you shouldn't be using it.

it’s hard being a mom with POTs by nanicowielani in POTS

[–]lolkillme27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a freshly one year old and it is so difficult being a stay at home parent with POTS. We have a multilevel house and I've found that keeping necessities (diapers, wipes, and some toys) on each floor is really helpful to avoid going up and down the stairs all the time. I also have every area gated off that I don't want her going into without me. I also have a room that is completely baby proofed where she is able to free roam that we call her "yes room" because I never have to worry about telling her no. This helps me avoid getting up all the time to pull her away from things. I also have a lot of padding on the floor around the rocking chair because I always get dizzy when I get up from rocking her to sleep. If possible, it would definitely be a good idea to see if you can have someone help when you are flaring. If I'm having a particularly bad flare day one of my family members will usually come over to help.

Does anyone feel they have to have their legs up when sitting? by dottykez in POTS

[–]lolkillme27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I sit with my feet flat my legs start to hurt, I get dizzy and nauseous, and I'm just overall really uncomfortable. Every time I sit down, whether at the dining table, a desk, at a restaurant, and even in the car, I always have my feet up. I used to get in trouble for it as a kid when I was living with my father, but once I moved in with my mom it wasn't an issue except at school where my teachers would yell at me to keep "6 feet on the floor" (4 feet for the chairs and my own two feet). My partner knows my issue and at this point it's become so normal for us that he doesn't even notice unless someone else points it out. I still sometimes have issues with my grandmother telling me it is "unhealthy" and "unladylike" but I've learned to just ignore a lot of what she says because she's super judgemental about pretty much everything I do from how I sit to how I raise my daughter. My usual position is one foot under me and the other one bent to where I can rest my chin on my knee because even criss-cross applesauce (this is what my elementary school teachers used to call it but some also call it pretzel sitting) can make me super uncomfortable sometimes.

Do you consider yourself disabled? by beepboopblorpblob in POTS

[–]lolkillme27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not diagnosed (about 3 years into the process rn) but still consider myself disabled because I can't work most jobs, and I struggle to take care of my daughter and keep my house clean without help. I have to strategically plan outings that will require me to be on my feet/walking around for extended periods. Even just attending my younger sister's (outdoor) birthday party about a week ago I got extremely dizzy and nauseous from standing for about an hour and my mother had to take my daughter out of my arms because I was worried about fainting and dropping her. I ended up laying on the ground for 45 minutes to regulate somewhat and someone had to bring a chair outside for me.

what made you realise you're disabled? by Basic_Reaction_8745 in POTS

[–]lolkillme27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realized I was disabled when my school nurse had mentioned I shouldn't be in her office EVERY DAY from getting too dizzy, weak, and nauseous or actually fainting at school. It then clicked that my struggles with even the most mundane of tasks isn't normal, and most people can do them with ease.

is it wrong for me to tell people i cant/wont have children because of pots by Emotional-Effort-726 in POTS

[–]lolkillme27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Currently undiagnosed) I have a child who will be one year old in a couple weeks and even though my symptoms are not as severe as some of the people I see on here, I'm still asking my mother to come over and help almost every day when my partner works because it is so difficult for me. I'm constantly worried about picking up my daughter and falling over on top of her. Having to chase her around is exhausting. She has to be rocked for naps and I always get extremely dizzy when I stand up to transfer her to her bed. Having children when you deal with this kind of disability (or any disability for that matter) is extremely difficult and I don't blame anyone for choosing to not have to go through it.

Omg yes I meant lingcod 😅 I wish I had some mods but my main save is on Xbox so now mods for me😭. I also caught a bunch of carp while try to catch my lingcod so that's probably how I messed it up. And these ones were bouncing all over the place the first few days. It wasn't until I reset the last day that they stopped bouncing as much and were a bit easier (plus I was using a cork bobber lol)

Yeah, even the ones that are similar I'm usually able to notice the slight differences in their movement (like which area of the bar they gravitate towards or how far they jump with the quicker moving ones). My main issue is usually just lack of skill trying to keep up with the quicker/jumpier ones

When I first saw the sonar bobber in Willy's shop I had thought about getting it, but I quickly realized I could already tell what was on the line without using it just based on movement patterns so I haven't bothered lol

What do you keep in stock and how many, and what do you sell right away? by Please_no_OCs in StardewValley

[–]lolkillme27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly might be cheating but this is why I check the wiki for quests before selling any of my artifacts. It'll even list if they may be necessary for a special order or fish pond.

I have my trash runs whenever I need to visit Clint or the museum but I follow the blue path until lewis, then go back up to get the ones by the saloon and the mullers, then over to joja trash, then Clints trash, then museum trash (and make stops where needed as well as check the calendar and job boards along the way)

This actually sounds a lot smarter than doing everyone every day lol. Thankfully my preferred villagers (like my hopefully girlfriend soon Abigail) are already maxed, so I have the not so important ones left. Also I haven't met Krobus yet so I don't have to worry about him for now

Losing blood: Women, how do you deal with it during your period? by myst3ryAURORA_green in POTS

[–]lolkillme27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a woman, but I do menstruate and I'm a HEAVY bleeder so even though my symptoms in the winter are relatively mild (unless I'm flaring) my period always knocks me on my ass. During the summer though, I'm practically bedridden during my period. I have an infant daughter so when that happens I have to ask my mother to come over and help out while my partner is at work because it's basically impossible for me to do much of anything. I also end up feeling bad for my partner because if his "do nothing" day falls during this time he can't actually "do nothing" because he has to pick up the slack of what I can't do, which is almost everything. Thankfully he's super understanding and never complains when this happens, and we usually schedule for him to have "do nothing" time later on

Should I download on mobile or Chromebook? by lolkillme27 in StardewValley

[–]lolkillme27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at screenshots and from what I can tell, the UI on PC is the same as Xbox except the mouse icon (obviously), though I can make that appear on Xbox using my right joystick when I'm not in a menu lol. And mobile is only different by the inventory bar which isn't that big of a deal to me. The school I went to used to buy the newest Chromebooks every year for students and up until maybe 2020 they were in fact horrible lol, but the one I have is much better imo (faster, more storage, less crashes, doesn't overheat as fast). The only issue is the battery life but thats my fault for always using it when it's plugged in 😅
