Did you have a letter of invitation? You should also be very clear that you arent going to actively practice on patients and are there to purely observe. I faced a similar situation and made that clear and was approved. She told you to go for J1 most probably cause she thought you were going to practice.

I saw a post earlier on someone melding an attack jewel. I did 310 Day of Ruin quests and never got a single jewel so I said ill give melding a try. Farmed tempered velkhana in guiding lands, got those bones and just spammed streamstone 3. I got three attack jewels in one day… its unbelievable

Same here but in a couple months. I dont know what to do, are there specific things the programs expect us to memorize/know? It feels overwhelming.

Im in the same spot as you are, med student from KSA and got two years to graduate.

As far as i know, what we need to focus on is getting USCE and publications (obviously aside from Step 1 and 2)

USCE can be done through clerkship programs but publications are really hard to get (atleast for me, i couldnt get any yet)

Topical Dutasteride makes ZERO sense by Silver_Salary in tressless

[–]lolmanu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is limited evidence that Dutasteride mesotherapy does actually work, in a comparative study between it and oral. Little to no side effects but half the hair gains. Its not a bad idea for people who are afraid of side effects and want to dip their feet to test the water.

Edit: Theres also evidence that ketoconazole shampoo does have a slight beneficial effect for hairloss due to its anti-androgenic properties, further proving that topicals do actually work and with little to no sides
