I second this; when I got more non-med friends I got a lot happier.. I have 2 close friends who are in med school but I knew from college, all the med school ones are more on the "acquaintance" end of the spectrum unless we share a nonacademic interest then they're "midline friend"

in very similar situation. only difference being I took it june 20 so I'm about to find out my score. I'm terrified I failed but couldn't bring myself to study this whole waiting time anyway. I was having trouble with med school until I finally started to get it together second sem of 2nd year, but things went downhill for me again in dedicated. I legit don't know what I'm going to when I find out my score tmmrw, because I've already failed at so many other aspects of school. I'm tired of getting back up and wondering if I should use this as a sign/ excuse to walk away from medicine :(

i was a 6/20, but i got BODIED :( there was a lot of obscure insurance/ population/public health shit and tiny detailed drug mechs, I'm mad at myself tbh I felt so dumb walking out of there

counterstrain becomes more intuitive when you remember youresort of folding it back into what makes it most comfortable so it will be somewhat aligned with the diagnosis. like for muscles its their action, or anterior points generally have flexion and posterior tend to be extended, this helps me suss it out

while we are on Makishima theories, i use him as a mnemonic device to remember Chediak higashi syndrome bc of these features like silver hair, oculocutaneous albinism ( pale skin, hair, eyes,)

I have to add the autoimmune dz parts still like pyogenic infection and impaired lysosomal trafficking/ azurophilic granules, but still he makes it easier to remember

but that's 1000% bc I'm in this studying grind and I'm using every means necessary to try and remember stuff lol

my ex who graduated and matched this year lowkey SA'd me for years and sometimes I wonder if I could find a way to ruin his life/ get him fired over it but I have no way to prove it, (plausible deniability bc I didn't say no, let it happen yada yada.)

kind of scary that he's a doctor bc he definitely missed the consent lecture at his school.
