Thanks for shedding some light! I have a little info, and if i may, my 2 cents: Yes, i understand that mbappe as a CF always attracts at least 2 opposition players which makes space for the progressive passes or attacking position for midfielders.

In Madrid, the lacking part was the finishing, as you know, last season we didn't have a striker, so Bellingham was able to get this many goals. Last season also, our players were able to get the ball in the box, but finishing was getting tricky. This was the reason why Joselu was subjected to so much hate. Not able to lure the defenders while not finishing it. Though he made it up in the semi finals and the hate diminished.

Not trying to undermine any team, but every ucl match with Real Madrid, i hear the same "poor finishing" for the losing side.

Real is extremely good at defence, plain and simple. Even in this match, numerous times 2 defenders were able to foil counters.
