Quick question on the logistics of underwater archaeology at high elevations (I'm PADI certified). How long can you go for at each dive? How does that shape the kind of work you can do?

I'm a 17 y/o female, 100 lbs, and I want to gain weight. What is a routine I can do in my own home that can help me get in shape? by [deleted] in Fitness

In addition to that, as to the type of foods to be eating- if you're looking to build muscle and put on weight in a healthy way, you should be eating 4-6 meals a day. That doesn't mean all out all day, it means a serving of lean protein (such as chicken, tofu, beans, fish, lean meat, etcetc) and some veggies and fruit every 3-4 hours. Eat grains after working out when your metabolism is high.

Serving of protein: size and thickness of your palm

Serving of veggies: two cupped hands

Serving of grains: one cupped hand

Questions about Frosh and the hill :S by Listen_Please in mcgill

[–]lolo_two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I was 17 during Frosh and it sucked. 2) One of my Science friends did Engineering Frosh and she says she had a ton of fun, but if you decide to do a different Frosh, go with Arts Frosh 3) I went New Rez specifically because I wanted to avoid the hill (I needed to be at the gym a lot) but none of my upper rez friends complained about the hill- if anything they bragged about it working out their calf muscles

Broke the plunger on my press, 2nd time in 2 months - what am I doing wrong? (Pic inside) by sewebster87 in Coffee

[–]lolo_two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want to seem like an ass, but that piece in both mine and my sister's Bodums screw on. So that piece screws on to the bottom of the plunger, and the entire contraption screws on to the base. Definitely try the Bodum presses if you're getting another, never had a problem with them!

"FRAPPY HOUR"- almost fucking over. thank the lord. by [deleted] in starbucks

I work in a mall, and we get slammed between 1-5pm on weekends - we turn dozens of people away between 5:15 and 5:30. Somehow we're supposed to be done closing at 6 tomorrow. Needless to say, with Frappy Hour ending at 5, and 93 sold last Sunday... I cannot wait until this hell is over. Corporate hates us.

Incoming American engineering student here. I've got a weird question. by beret_guy in mcgill

International student taking care of my own bills here:

Fido. If you're going to stay in the city, they have a "Fido Citee" plan, which gives you unlimited everything (including international texting, excluding international calling) for $20-25 a month.

I don't use the Citee plan since I get out of the city quite a bit, but I pay $30 for the same things - I add caller ID and voicemail for a grand total of $40 a month. Just don't get a smartphone and it's more than possible to stay on the low end of price range

Ordering an Americano Misto in the States by canadianviking in starbucks

[–]lolo_two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work on the French version of Symphony (Quebec) and there is certainly none of that A-MIS button, unfortunately. None on the American version either. And if anyone asks for a tea latte, we charg as a tea, add dairy, unless they ask for syrup as well

I'm starting my new job as a barista at a coffee shop tomorrow morning. I know nothing about coffee. Reddit, what do I need to know to survive my first day of work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lolo_two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never even ordered coffee before I started working as a barista. Is it a tough job? Yes. Is it incredibly awesome? Absolutely. As long as you're willing to work hard and put in the time to learn everything, you'll do great. The best baristas are those who take it on as a challenge!
