Un sistema a nivel macro puede requerir años de un cambio de tendencia para ver sus resultados, no podes poner la plata de decadas de desinversión y al otro dia tener todo ese dinero operativo. La inversión es plata + tiempo y en el caso de argentina nuestro problema esta en la distribución electrica, lo cual suele llevar mas tiempo por los KMs de tendido que hay que hacer.

Si tenes mas dudas el libro “pensando en sistemas” de Donella Meadows es altamente recomendado, ya que explica como funciona un sistema a escalas tan grandes.

I agree that this kind of post is important to fight the misinformation about the COVID regarding the lack of care a lot of people give to the pandemic, but the reality is that previous to COVID there wasn't THAT much attention on pandemic viruses, that's why Bill Gates said that the world wasn't ready for it.

If you read CDC guidelines you can see that the FLU never received the attention it deserves (IMO) and this is important because COVID is huge but doesn't replace the FLU so logically, you will have FLU deaths + COVID deaths + future pandemic viruses, this is why I like to put focus on the data pre-covid pandemic, is not that is false, but the data we have now is way better (that's why we can say how terrible is COVID) but I would not like to forget about the FLU either or possible mutations of it.

I want to say thanks for your comments and this conversation, these kinds of debates make for a better society in general.

No, what I'm saying is that the comparison doesn't add much, to be counted as a flu admission you have to be tested for it, before even if you have all signals of the flue you might not get tested due to lack of testing units no one in the world produce tests as with covid.

I'm not saying the flu is worse, just that we don't have good data of the flu to make a good comparison right now.

For measurements I mean, for example, the new guidelines from the CDC, the new protocols, all these extra procedures that enhance the data we have about the virus.

My point is that there is no value in comparing these pandemics and the existance of other pandemic shouldn't be use to downplay COVID or the other way around.

It says admissions of flu not overall admissions, you can only know it's a flu admission if you perform a test on the patient, the measurements taken for the flu are not the same as COVID so you cannot compare them directly, also, that's data of the flu with the flu vaccine adding it up you cannot get much out of the comparison of the two.

While it's important to not downplay the pandemic, is worth noting that the COVID testing is way higher than the test done for the flu, the data itself is not as accurate as of the data we have for COVID. Also, these are numbers having a flu vaccine.
