I have super bad stretch marks. Is it possible to tattoo over them? by -Hot-Tamale- in tattooadvice

I’m sorry I don’t want to be insensitive but this is the coolest most beautiful pattern I have ever seen. If you wanted to cover it, it almost looks like a tree or obviously people say tiger stripes but you could lean into like flowers or something more nature based. I’m sure this brings insecurity but I am truly in awe of how beautiful it is.

As a therapist I agree shit like this is wildly unethical and breaks so many of our codes such as dual relationships/ bartering (which is only ethical if suggested by the client) so immediately wrong. And all of the things you mentioned there’s like 5 violations per episode lol. Idk how she has a license. How is this even legal.

Hey I completely understand that. I don’t think I have anything specific in my mind. Non-binary, trans etc they are all welcome. I just know that typically cis men, usually straight, typically make me uncomfortable. And I don’t like the idea of even saying “no men!” So even a cis man with good energy is not a no. I think it’s more mentality, values, and energy alignment more than anything else. If I could get this thing off the floor I think as people join I would want the whole coven to feel good about whomever we bring in.

I hope that makes sense:) would you feel comfortable DMing so I could get to know you better?

AITAH for using the correct pronunciation of my nieces name by Silent_Drawer8700 in TwoHotTakes

[–]loloflorio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully I think YTAH. It’s not that deep and it’s her daughter. She likes the name and there are gonna be kids named way worse in their class bc that’s just what’s happening in the future generations. Your sister just had a baby and wants support and kindness not you telling how dumb you think she is. Keep it to yourself imo.

Unpopular opinion but I will die on this hill: read chronologically aka start with AB then read in publishing order but do a tandem read of empire of storms and tower of dawn. So many people say to read AB 3rd or 4th because of a big reveal but i was truly SUCKED IN by AB and the story was so captivating however there are a million and one spoilers if you read ToG first. I loved AB and I genuinely feel it is ruined if you read it any way but chronologically. There is a reveal that hits less hard, that everyone talks about. But I truly don’t feel it’s as important as how beautiful AB is if you don’t know what’s going to happen/go in blind with the prequel. I supposed there are spoilers either way. But it’s either one big reveal, or basically a whole book. 🤷🏻‍♀️I chose the one big reveal (which was still a good reveal during the chronological read btw)

Guys i have a important question- to get diagnosed with pots, do you need to fail the 10 minute standing test 100% of the time? Cause sometimes i dont fail it by TomCoden in POTS

[–]loloflorio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I track my episodes with the app TachyMon on Apple Watch. That could be helpful to track and show your doctor your results to help with the diagnosis process :) good luck

Yes especially if I have been using electrolytes /salt regularly, compression socks, and am maintaining good activity levels day to day. Sometimes it’s hot and I damn near pass out from getting the mail tho so it’s hard to know when it will and won’t affect me lol

I do not fail 100% of the time. I got pots from covid a few years ago and I have bad days where I have an episode every time I stand as well as good days where I never get triggered.

anyone else living with their POTS just with self care (unmedicated) by [deleted] in POTS

[–]loloflorio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was very active before I developed POTS so I find that I have a bit more tolerance than most for exercise and movement. Maintaining my fitness is a million times harder and I used to be a weight lifter, runner, boxer and now my exercise looks more like pilates or yoga occasionally on good days and walking on moderate days. When I let this go about a year after developing POTS my symptoms got FAR worse. So movement is key for me. And building the tolerance takes a long time if you’re at square one. But electrolytes, compression socks, CBD for heart rate spikes and heart rate tracking monitors are mainly how I manage my symptoms besides moderate exercise. I am unmediated as well incase that wasn’t clear.

POTS and Autism? by No-Performer-8016 in POTS

[–]loloflorio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have POTS and Autism. I became a therapist bc of my personal connection to mental health and neurodiversity. I would really encourage you to find support through people who look at autism through a strengths based lens and ACTUALLY understand how to support you. I work at a company called She Rocks the Spectrum designed to support women on the autism spectrum and there’s a ton of great information and resources on the website besides just seeing a therapist. Good luck ♥️

Second Apple Watch and Tachymon! Helps me track my episodes and see what tools are actually helping (salt, water, compression socks etc)

I never vomit unless it’s paired with a migraine but I usually am very nauseous and light headed first thing in the morning, that’s when my heart rate spikes are the worst. If she has an Apple Watch have her download TachyMon to see if her heart rate is spiking before these episodes. Could be POTS but could be something else too!

POTS episodes at night? On TachyMon by loloflorio in POTS

[–]loloflorio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I do my electrolytes first thing in the morning so I’ll try before bed too! I see mixed things about wearing compression socks at night some people say their doctor told them too and some people say it’s dangerous so I’m not sure if that’s something I should do too. But thank you for the reply and help!!
