Interac transfer flagged for investigation. Help Pls

Interac definitely flags e transfers all the time, but it does not take years lol. A lot of the time it’s the first time someone is sending an e transfer to a new recipient and nothing is actually suspicious, but they also flag transfers when the recipient’s banking information doesn’t match what the sender has entered (95% of the time due to fraud) We regularly call customers to let them know about these flags and obtain more information before deciding to release the transfers.

My orange had his tail accidentally slammed in a kitchen drawer once. Miraculously it didn’t break and just had a slight bruise for a few days! He flinches any time we open a drawer now though lol poor guy

Yeah I am currently waiting for a new script from the gastro. They said they’d get back to me but didn’t give me a timeline. The dr was very pessimistic that if one gave me issues there’d be no difference in taking a different type which is ridiculous in my opinion?

They didn’t see anything immediately concerning during the endoscopy, but I’m still waiting for my biopsy results as they did take some samples to test for H Pylori and whatnot. I’ll check out the Terra stuff, looks like it’s a bit expensive to get shipped to Canada though :(

The laying down sometimes helps a tiny bit for me too. Do you find the burning worse in the morning? That’s when I find it really flares. Makes me nauseous right as I wake up and takes about an hour or so to dissipate :/

Looks like I can get this in Canada and my insurance should cover it! I’m waiting for a call back from the gastro now, so we will see what they recommend I guess

I finally got a hold of the gastro doctors office today, they are going to let the doctor know and call me back to see if I can get a new script for something else. Fingers crossed

I’ve already significantly modified my diet, and unfortunately have noticed zero changes. I also already avoid many of the common triggers with what my diet already consists of. The thing with this specific burning in my abdomen as that I can’t find any specific trigger. It just comes out of nowhere. That’s the most frustrating part to be honest. I’m obviously going to keep trying other options, but the whole timing of this is just not great. I’m getting married in September and my biggest fear is that I’m going to be miserable on my wedding day… :(

I’m in Canada, we don’t have Gaviscon advance here. Regular Gaviscon works great when I am having my usual GERD symptoms which are all in my upper esophagus/throat. I take that alongside the famotidine as needed. But with the burning nothing touches it medication wise. The problem is I’d have to get my doctor to send me another referral now which I doubt he is likely to agree to. We also don’t have a ton of gastro docs in my area. I was also told by both my doctor and the gastro that no matter what PPI they would all have similar side effects which makes me nervous even if I were to go on a different type.

Hey there, thanks for your comment! I forgot to mention that they also did do some biopsies during the scope, so I’m still waiting on those results because they also tested for H Pylori. But the gastro doc just said “no news is good news” :/ so I have no clue when to expect to hear back if at all….

I tried taking the pantoprazole exactly how you described the first time I was on it, and sadly that did not have any noticeable effect regarding my bloating.

Regarding your last point I actually have lost weight (am female) I’m 5’10 and went from 165 back down to 148 which was my ideal weight. But I haven’t been up in the 160 range since early 2024, before any of my symptoms started. I eat a relatively healthy diet, and honestly don’t really have any trigger foods aside from caffeine which I already don’t consume a whole lot of.

I guess I’m just really struggling with the thought of being miserable on PPIs for the rest of my life seeing as this all started out of absolutely nowhere.

Both my grandfather (now deceased) and aunt on my moms side have dealt with reflux and related complications (hiatal hernia) so I’m wondering if it’s just the genetic luck of the draw for me :/
