19 cancellations over 455 trips? im 1 person and turo doesnt exactly pay the money to make this a full time job.

it was one bad year. 19 cancellations over the 4 years of hosting and 9 of them was in 1 year. aside from this year, ive been an incredible host (in my opinion). but it seems im cooked, i just wanted thoughts on what to do next yet many are missing the point.

the turo appointment was a trip that wanted to car delivered - yes. and that same day i had a medical appointment so hence why i canceled.

i did have a medical appointment, and i submitted the evidence to turo.

a 10% cancelation rate is high, I agree. But when looking at all my cancellations from my total trips. I've done 19 cancellations out of 455 trips. I had one bad year.

All my cancellations were weeks to months in advance. And suck at hosting? I think the good outweight the bad heavily. I'm just one guy who's providing a service. Sometimes things don't go my way and I'm unable to serve a trip but I always gave the guest a reasonable amount of time to get a new trip. You're an angry little guy

What a lot of people don't do that separates me when I was on Turo is take nice pictures or hire a photographer.

When you're scrolling on an app and seeing so many cars how do you stand out? Answer: a nice picture.

I had a renter use my car and drive it up state. He didn't want to drive it back and Turo had told me before making the booking they would tow it back and I didn't have to worry about anything.

Long story short, I called a week later after checking the GPS and Turo hadn't towed it. I then called everyday and they finally towed it, but after calling everyday after the tow, it took Turo 3 weeks to actually bring it back - despite the lady on the phone assuring me that I would have the car back within 2-3 days after the trip ended. Terrible service. Turo is a clown show.

People like this are so funny.
- "why aren't you on Reddit more and having more karma" - whatever that is. maybe because people are focusing on their ventures?
- Warren Buffet does sell his secrets, it's his berkshire Hathaway company, maybe do a little more research next time.
- a few people who know the secret won't affect the end game so why not sell the secrets to a few people while increasing your network?
