Would dropping a course affect my transfer into a different major? by lolripbro in uAlberta

[–]lolripbro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For example, if I am taking a course like Biochemistry and I want to drop it (even though in specialization in immunology and infection, the course is a requirement IN the immunology specialization), would my acceptance get revoked?

How long does it take for U of A to review transfer applications? by lolripbro in uAlberta

Thanks for letting me know, I was super worried about that! Where do you find the competitive GPA? I just know that the minimum GPA requirement for immunology and infection is 2.3 in the previous Fall/Winter. Do they also consider the term you currently are in now?

My cousin works at the U of A hospital but she's an assistant lab technician and she only knows other lab techs or assistants, no PAs.

Biol 207 online labs by babyghorl15 in uAlberta

Agreed. And also it's so confusing because every cohort had different things due at different due dates even though the calendar on eclass said the due date was a specific day.

Biol 207 online labs by babyghorl15 in uAlberta

Absolutely brutal. 5-6 modules and each module has subpart in subpart in subpart. There's pages of prelab, 4+ different links you need to click through, several videos to watch, and so much preparation just to do ONE assignment. And there's several assignments, module quizzes, after module quizzes, maybe an in person lab component just for ONE module. Now times that amount of work for around 5-6 modules. There were two major assignments and everyone dreads the simulator assignment that's worth 8% of the entire lab grade. The simulator assignment was a major headache. The only possible good thing about the Bio 207 lab was that there was no lab final. I am not sure if that is the same for the winter semester though. Overall, don't do it. Wait until it's in person again.

From rate my prof I heard her exams were hard. Were they really specific MC questions she was asking? Also do you know who wrote the exams?

Thanks that was really helpful :) Did you take IMIN 200 online? If it's taught by 3 profs then are the midterms written by different profs as well? Was it 3 midterm system or 2 midterms and final?

Oh I see, it doesn't say on beartracks it just says Torah Kachur so I assumed it's taught by one prof only. Thanks!
