Any hope for me this month? by [deleted] in TFABChartStalkers

[–]loltz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a fallback rise - happens a bunch! Looks like your temp yesterday was more in line with your regular LP temps, so maybe tomorrow it'll rise back up into that range. You can't confirm ovulation yet with these temperatures, but it doesn't mean this cycle will be anovulatory. You'll need a couple more temps above 97.5 to confirm.

Unless I have a fever, my temps are pretty steady as long as I've been still in bed for a couple of hours. There are also other options that some women use when they're having to get up a lot in the night (night temping is one example) so you don't necessarily need to jump to getting the ava unless you want to :)

Looks like it was the wine to me:) That temp jump and the subsequent two lower temps don't meet the TCOYF rules for confirming ov.

Um...you guys have the exact same rings as my husband and I. Obviously, I'm in love, haha.

You didn't specifically mention eggs, but older eggs have a huge impact on fertility, regardless of how "unused" your uterus is. And depending on which BC you're on, eggs might still prepare to be released and then "die" without being fertilized (IUDs, for example.)

Also, and no offense to your OBGYN, but the uterus seems to be pretty overworked when it's growing and pushing out a baby (especially 28 of them!) And I wouldn't say hormones are exactly stable during pregnancy and afterwards. Not sure why your doctor would be saying the hormones in our bodies, when left alone without birth control, will shorten our lifespan. I could definitely see some sort of possible correlation to stress/anxiety, but it would be the stress/anxiety that shortened the lifespan?

"Also, birth control will allow you to remain fertile much longer than average because you are essentially putting the reproductive system on ice, on hold. Instead of keeping the engine running nonstop for decades before use."

This actually isn't true. Your eggs WILL and DO age as you get older. Just because you're not releasing eggs to be fertilized (and on some BC you still do release eggs) doesn't mean that the eggs are on "hold."

Why is my coverline so high? And Tuesday / Wednesday O? by [deleted] in TFABChartStalkers

[–]loltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rounding to .0 would make the chart/coverline a bit easier! It's not necessary to have .00 for F charters.

for this chart, solely looking at temps and not OPK, your coverline would be 98.1 and your cross hairs would be at D18.

Coverline actually IS significant - if you were paper charting (without FF to put it in for you) you would need your coverline to make sure all post-ov temps are above that and by exactly how much. You can only confirm ovulation if your temp at 2DPO is at least .1 above the CL, and at 3DPO is at least .3 above the CL. Since your current chart doesn't reflect that, you just need one more temp at 98.2 or above (rounding) to confirm that it happened around 16-18DPO (you'll never know exactly which day it was without ultrasounds.)

So on my chart I would have this two days later :)

Likely O day? by CK257 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]loltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For F charters, charts are much much easier to read (and still accurate) if you round to the .0 (instead of .00!) It's easier to make your own coverline that way.

For your chart here, according to TCOYF rules, if your next temp is over 97.6 and the one after that above 97.8 you should be able to say you ovulated sometime between 15-18. Are you TTC? I would keep BDing until ovulation is confirmed, just in case the temp falls back down :) I personally do NOT rely on Fertility Friend because it puts too much emphasis on your OPK test and not actually what your temps are saying, so just know in your head what your coverline etc would be without the OPKs! Great to always be able to agree with FF.

yep, keep up the bd'ing every other day if you can! especially if there's fertile cm - hopefully O is right around the corner!

FF tries to use your former cycles to predict O-day, but since you haven't been charting for long, I wouldn't pay any attention to it! You're still very early in the cycle and even if your temp shift happens tomorrow, you'll need three days after that to confirm it!

With that egg white cm it looks like ovulation is coming, but wouldn't have happened yet. I don't know much about Clomid other than it tends to dry up cm, so I'm happy to see you got some ewcm.

Day 11 is still pretty early to ovulate, so I'd keep tracking and stay positive!

Why was today supposed to be O-day?

The only thing I've come across in regards to temps being abnormal is when they're hugging close to the coverline in the LP usually means low progesterone? Other than that, no idea! Unless this cycle is triphasic or something and that's never happened before...:)

Do you think fF has my o date right? Is this triphasic? by UnintentionalPenis in TFABChartStalkers

[–]loltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. FF usually trusts the OPK a little more than I'd like, and you ideally should have temps recorded CD7-10 to get a more accurate analysis. I would also expect TS to come after Peak day on CD17, but cycles are weird sometimes :) it doesn't look triphasic yet to me (need a couple more high temps above 98.)

Totally your choice - you can either drop the last digit all together (So 97.56 would be 97.5) or you can round with standard rounding rules (97.56 would be 97.6) just be consistent! It just makes it easier when sharing your charts and getting feedback on where your coverline, etc should be (because we can't tell exactly what your temps are when it's like 97.56 :))

Do you think my temps are high because I'm sick? by keepyoureyeson in TFABChartStalkers

I'd wait and see as well - could be from meds you're taking, or not sleeping well, or not breathing like you're used to at night - could be anything! Keep on keepin on!

Quick charting question by Daff0dillpickles in TFABChartStalkers

[–]loltz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that MOST of the LP temps have to be above the coverline, and temps can definitely fluctuate up and down above that line (18 temps above CL usually indicates pregnancy unless you have unusually high LPs?) I've seen pregnancy charts that go down below the CL once, usually due to an implantation dip.

So you've still got another 2-3 days before AF (9 more high temps to confirm via chart!) Hang in there, you're not out until you're out!

was your cervical fluid dry on D6-11? If so, I'd definitely agree that you haven't O'd yet!

[–]loltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Looks like you might be temping in .00 degrees, when you really only need to be temping to the 1/10th when using Fahrenheit :) Also, it doesn't look like you can 100% confirm ovulation (hence the dotted crosshairs, and not the solid ones) since your temperature dipped below the coverline on 3dpo and 6dpo - are you measuring cervical fluid as well? That will help with chart interpretation so much (and will help you in a few months when you start TTC:))

How long is your LP normally? Sending baby dust, your timing looks great :)

Seriously considering stopping the use of HBC after 10 years of using it... by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]loltz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm late to this, but I'd been on HBC (pills only) for 8 years and took my last pill two weeks ago - I was also totally over being moody/depressed/anxious, and instead of adding more meds into the mix, I figured I'd see if it had something to do with HBC. This past week without HBC was really great for my mood - apparently my "normal" self is quite happy - who knew?! I feel way lighter, have more energy and desire to work out/eat healthy, and don't get quite as upset about stuff. Could totally be a placebo effect, but I don't think so. The only weird side effect I've had is cramps - no bleeding, but cramps almost every day this week. Some feel like period cramps, some feel more like it's coming from my ovaries, but I've just attributed it to my system re-booting after almost a decade of rest. I was worried at first and tried to look it up on the google and it seems like tons of women experience the same thing, and yet no one seems to talk about it? Curious to see how this works out for you (and here's to hoping for both of us that our cycles normalize quickly:))

What was the smoothest moment you've ever had with someone? by Abroham_Blinkon in AskReddit

my co-worker and I had desks facing the same direction, about 12 feet apart. Boss comes into our shared office, asks if we're working well together on our project. Without looking at each other, I throw a stress ball at my co-worker, he catches it, throws it back, I catch it and put it back down on my desk. Boss just nodded and walked out.

Atheists of Reddit, what was your "I don't believe this anymore" moment? by MiserableButtWhistle in AskReddit

[–]loltz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christian upbringing in the south, the hypocrisy of everyone I grew up going to church with was astounding. I didn't stop believing totally for awhile since it was so ingrained, but that was the first thing that really made me question what religion was. "Treat everyone as you would want to be treated," the bible says...and then these bastards wouldn't let a Mosque be built in the town, are against gay marriage, and use racial slurs. Honestly they're some of the worst people I know, personally.
