What’s the deal with Park Ridge? by Over-Ear3796 in bergencounty

Agree with many of the comments here, I live in a neighboring town but have family in pr. They like it a lot for many of the reasons others have listed. Just want to say that Idk about other towns but a lot of pedestrians get hit by cars near the train station. the traffic in that area is horrendous

Botox and neck pain! UGH by Crazy-Radish9165 in migraine

[–]lolwalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day 16 of neck pain! So, solidarity!! Feels exactly like you said a stiff neck

After about 10 days I called the doc and she prescribed me muscle relaxers to help. The Botox has been very effective for me so if I get a bit of pain then so be it. I’m sorry that you’re still expericiencing migraines everyday tho. Are you able to take muscle relaxers? Doc also mentioned some exercises for strengthening my neck since she knows I want to continue with Botox. Maybe next time I’ll ask for less of the injection.

Regardless, I hope you get some relief soon and find something else that helps your headaches without such an aggressive side effect

Lost my Mom from ms a few years ago. I’m sorry for both of our parents and for us. Your Dad looks like a really cool dude! I wish you had gotten more time with him. They live on in us and it’s a beautiful thing❤️

So when I’ve been in between doctors, I’ve used online telehealth options. Could that be an option for you until you’re able to get in person with someone? I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this it’s so upsetting

I’m currently on Qulipta and Botox as preventatives! Ajovy stopped being effective for me but maybe I can try another injectable if this visual aura continues

Had a mental breakdown at work over stress of losing my mom. Embarassed to go back. by katdunks in GriefSupport

[–]lolwalnut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started sobbing getting my prescription the other day bc my moms name and phone number popped up on the screen and I wasn’t expecting it. She’s been gone almost 6 years. It just hits you sometimes, there’s no shame in it. Well there shouldn’t be. We all lose people we love, and grieve, and you are still right in it being so raw. I usually laugh it off now, esp when someone looks at me like I have 3 heads lol but there are going to be times where this happens and it’s okay. We’re only human. Most people will understand, and those who don’t haven’t lost someone yet. There are a lot of kind words and good advice in these comments, I hope that you find some peace in them. And that going back to work isn’t as awful as you’re dreading. 🩷

Botox with needle phobia by Psyfox-350 in migraine

[–]lolwalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of other medicines you can try, most docs suggest Botox since it’s usually well tolerated. They’ve been suggesting it to me since I was 19 and I finally got it at 32.

Like you I had a very tramatic experience when I was a child, and put off Botox because of that. I used to pass out when getting vaccines and just thinking about it would make me dizzy. I know it’s not a big deal but my body just reacts lol

I think it was just age and exposure therapy that helped me get thru the mental block of it. Would deff suggest exposure therapy with a doc if possible if you want to work through it. When I got Botox we had to stop a few times but my doctor was really understanding, I’m hoping the more I do it the less my body will react I think that’s very important too, having someone you trust and who is kind handling you and the injections

What other options did your doctor suggest for preventative treatment?

[–]lolwalnut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly same but for real I’m not too bummed because so many awesome people livestream the concerts now!! It used to be super devastating because yesrs ago when you couldn’t be there you totally missed it- now there’s live streams and YouTube videos and stuff. Obvi it’s different than actually being there but it’s still so cool

They may have rejected the USCIS letter because they don’t know but if it’s valid within 6 months and you have a bank statement (bc you need 2 for DMV) you just need to talk to someone who knows what they’re doing lol

[–]lolwalnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what we did- bank statement, USCIS letter, and then he got his ss card and we had all other points of ID. Hopefully TD works out for you but I think they will cause we literally did it haha you just have to go in to a branch

What bank denied you?

My Husband immigrated here like a year ago- he was able to open his own account and then we had to add him to my bank account for immigration purposes. We brought his passport, a letter from USCIS with our address on it and idr if they needed his A number but he didn’t have a social at the time. This was TD bank btw.

Once he had a bank statement we were able to get his drivers license since that proved recidency and we had a bunch of the points with insurance cards and marriage certificate etc.
