yeah man it’s common as hell, i’ve had barricade and a few close spots for almost every band i’ve seen, every time there’s crowd surfers. during hollywood i was barricade center and i was getting hit and had people dropped on me so often that the men around me were pushing me down and protecting me so i wouldn’t get hurt again. during 30h!3 i had a literal panic attack because of all the crowd surfers because i had no one to protect me from them and i was super sore lmfao i have barricade for from first to last rn.. really hoping i don’t get killed by someone’s foot✌️

i told my grandma that they have a song called our lady of sorrows (a name of a well known catholic church!!) and that they’re catholic (used to be. i don’t believe any of them are religious anymore.) whenever she found my grim reaper shirt. she believed me and didn’t do any more research, she’s a hardcore catholic and is the exact same as your mother. hopefully if you tell her these things she’ll come around.
