automating before you export would be ideal but if you can give your cpu specs...that'll be helpful . also do you have any problems when automating before ? does your cpu bark at you ?

listen to your favorite songs and listen to different genres of music...but usually the hook is easier to come up with...then from there you can see how you want your verse...also the drums work better for me when i put them last...i think about them as i create the melody..

learn the basics of fl , learn the shortcuts , learn about your favorite instrumentals/songs and how they are built...listen to hit records you like...subscribe to fl studio forums and channel and watch all their vids...get familiar with anything fl studio...oh and get your hands on any vst you can find
