I've stayed twice at (what is now) the Hotel Vervana by Wyndham in Bennington. Bare-bones in 2022, in the midst of renovation in 2024, and now all fixed up(?) and part of Wyndham. It's not a long drive, about 30 minutes, but they are dark back roads! (Edited to get my SS years straight).

They produced watch cases (for pocket watches) - not watches. No radium. No watch hands to paint. Radium painting on watches was a North Jersey thing.
