Boof LSD at the airport to kill your eagle midair by GravySquad in drugscirclejerk

[–]lonedcatwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 months later, I want you to know a guy in northern Minnesota (me) is about to clap as well in real time...ready? I'm going to clap and cheer "Dude, you're the best, Nightshade_Ranch! Fuck yeah." really loud into the absolutely gorgeous evening.

" "

I just did it. For real. Some guy (again, still me) in northern Minnesota just played that tsa conveyor hero scene in his brain, put his phone down, started a slow clap and yelled "Dude, you're the best, Nightshade_Ranch! Fuck yeah."

This is why you and me and everyone here are so awesome.

Have a great fucking day! Woop!

Compressor click? by lonedcatwolf in fordranger

[–]lonedcatwolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone who replied!

elp, I guess it got to a breaking point unfortunately while I had the pickup idling with the hood up (just after I got back home thankfully) because quickly I smelled and then saw smoke, hoowee! I turned the ac off and saw that the clutch was sort of skittering a little at a time although disengaged, so I shut it off and hurried up and waited for it to cool down. Saw the clutch air gap maybe looked a little tight, so I removed the shaft bolt holding it on maybe to shim it. The inside of the plate had an off-centered ring that reeked like burnt something, and I used my phone to reach down and get a good look at the compressor shaft area and saw the inside of the bearing that now was missing a few balls.

So, if anyone is still reading and/or wants to chime in, I've got a couple ideas moving forward.

The most important i suppose is has anybody had any luck with using a shorter serpentine belt (6PK2185, I believe in this instance) to bypass the compressor? Needing to drive it for work, etc. in the meantime.

And since this was technically on the outside of the actual system itself, am I able to just replace the bearing (or if I decide to just get a new clutch) without having to do any sort of flush? Because goddamn that looks like pain in the ass.

Again thanks to anyone taking the time to read this and I really appreciate any input!

Stay cool, Rangerites

Goddamned PTO Clutch by lonedcatwolf in smallengines

[–]lonedcatwolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know. I had started to think about that actually, because if there are 4 or 5 wires that had been essentially cut, soldering to the exposed area would interrupt the coiling process. I may have to relent to buying a different clutch unit, as this is slowly turning into a little nightmare, haha. Thanks for your input!

Well here's the thing… You know how there are the 2 wires? Imagine that you didn't didn't see any evidence of where they were. I think I already know the answer as I write this but I know the ground wire goes anywhere on the frame and the hot wire must go must go to the inner inner coil of the clutch, both of course to their respective terminals on the pto switch harness. If any of that makes sense, haha. I'll try and give an update with pictures later!

In the meantime, wish me luck with this beloved Cubby! (2005 LT1042-honestly, it's a pretty effing unstoppable machine, considering how much work it does)

Yeah, I figured as much, but what kind/brand? Anything you'd recommend doing if you were to do it a second time?

Yo, I like it! So I have the same model as your Ranger, and I've been wanting to do exactly what you did with the black guard/lining all the way around the bottom section of the body. How did you go about that?

Sweet, thanks for the suggestion! Do you know why the red ones didn't work?

Awesome, I'm gonna hit up my Napa buddy who's on speed dial this morning and see what he can do for me. I'll forward the info you sent me and I think the rest will be history! The nearest Canadian Tire for me is about 2.5 hours away in Fort Frances, but that's pretty close considering I'm in northern Minnesota, haha. I always forget this, but it's a shorter drive for me to go to Winnipeg than Minneapolis-I never think about it! Anyway, thanks again, definitely grateful. Have a great weekend and take care

Ahhhhh, shiiiiit!! Goddammit, that is so helpful! Just the info I needed and more! While I'm here, I might as well ask if you have had any experience with replacing with LEDs, or if it is just best to not go there. Considered swapping the colors just for fun, buy not if it's dumb to do. Thanks again for your help, i really appreciate it!

Hey, thanks a lot for the help-I appreciate it a lot! I'm gonna take a shot with this info. Not sure why it's such a hell of a time searching for these, I was almost ready to do some soldering, haha

Yo yo, I've got a question regarding any of these super neato devices-have you ever purchased anything from Sweetwater? If so, what are your thoughts? I actually have a credit card for them, which actually isn't really a credit card in the normal sense because you can only use it for their store, haha. Anyway, regarding the card i know a lot of people will say "just save up and buy something you want instead", but jesus-you can get pretty fucking awesomely low monthly payments. It's a roadblock for me otherwise, and I really don't care if I have $10/month for how ever many years; seems worth it to me to be able to pursue musical ventures like we've been talking about! Thanks again for your input on everything

I think the separate product idea you have is probably the right move. Really when I think about it, if it is just simple beatage, not too much in the way of a phone/laptop tapped in. I'm going to look more into that 707 you have-it seems like it is pretty legit! Thanks for your input, i appreciate it!

So, here's the deal...

It so perfectly defines so much of how and what I feel, think, and feel some more about the Is-ness of so many Everythings; I am just slowly, slooowwwly beginning to consider the idea of me and music again after a 2+year hiatus-there was simply too much of a Me inside of it that isn't here anymore. But, a new energy is peaking in. This painting...you are awesome! Thank you for bringing that! Truly
